Is it against EULA?I found excellent unused saber animations in the files ...and was planning to make a fraps video to showcase em to the community and ask a change to devs for it.

Duh...
Go ahead and do it, then submit your new ideas to them for approval. Make sure to include your name, number and address.

Actually once it is installed on your computer, if you DO NOT SELL, OR ATTEMPT TO MAKE A PROFIT from it, then there should be no problem. Just do not modify your in game play, or try and sell or use the video for profit, and you might get a "don't do that again," or best case a "would you like a job?" Wait maybe that last one was the bad one.

Tiggs posted sometime back that making appearance changes that you can only see yurself is in fact against the EULA. But, then again there have been so many that haven't been banned for exploits and going against the EULA in the first place.

Actually youve already done the illegal bit
Looking inside the file, stored on YOUR SYSTEM, is the bit that causes the most confusion. Making new directories on your computer is not an issue at all.
You may not interfere with the datastream, but you arent anyway, the server tells your client to play an animation which it does.
Theres a new version out called SWG explorer, if you cant find it let me know I'll get it up for you.

short answer is...what they don't know can't hurt them.(or you)youcan make all the clientsidemods you want. (mostly graphic, soundor H.U.D. alterations)what you can't do is share it with anyone (friends or putting it online) orexplain to anyonehow you did it.(like ina online tutorial.)that's what will get your account banned.
