to have both MDEF + FA2 is just a waste really you are capped before you even use half FA2
there are no caps
There are.
With Enhancer x4xx and Master Defender you'll have more than 100 innate armor. 100 innate armor is equivalent to 60% dmg reduction which is the max.
A nice thing to get a real defense stacked template is Defender 4x4x and Enhancer x4xx.
That way you'll have somewhat close to 55% dmg reduction and a nice melee defense which makes your enemies miss you even more. You can choose MDef too of course which will give you even more melee defense and then you also don't have to worry about the force drain force armor causes but it costs skillpoints. Effectiveness is pretty much the same.
Just decide for yourself what you want, what you need or/and what you like.
thats funny with master defender and fa1 (9000 armour) i can have 60.9% absorb
but you keep thinking that 60% is max
im sure that armoursmiths who cant even get to 9000 know better![]()

Hope you have lots of instant stims, you will need them with only 3000 healer.
I have Master Defender and only 3000 Healer. It is balanced quite nicely since I can get away with only using Improved Force Infusion for healing. It really depends upon play style, IMHO.

Well I have seen MDEF/MSABER jedi pre-cu with awesome sabers, that knew what they were doing need 4000 healer. He can take what he wants but 4000 healer is quite better than 3000.
Basically Master Def alone offers 52.5% armor and with FA2 its 60%.
Is the 7.5% worth the skill points?
Once armor broken with Master Def alone you are at 18.375% and with FA2 on you are at 21%
3% wont save you. 3% out of a hit of 1000damage is 30 damage.
Theres ways to increase your armor during armor breaks but you need to figure that out yourself, ... its like telling someone... planes can fly... he has to learn to pilot them you cant do that for him.
Best way to learn, is duel for fun, PvP and see what others use.
....everytime someone wins... they get weaker, cause they've just showed you how to do it.
