Thread: Couple of ideas, will these unbalance jedi? Input desired.

Ok, Bria is down again so I've been thinking. I have 2 ideas, one for FRS, one for all jedi.
First idea:
Make the LS trees require no skill points like Pilot. Ill agree, this is probably pushing it. I almost didn't wanna post this as it does seem kinda overboard, but my thinking was this: It would allow more SP to pick up more skills obviously. But think about it, we would have the so-called 1.5 times stronger thing goin for us but would also be more 'jedi-like'. By that, I mean we would have powers and stuff that you see all jedi have in the movies. I obviously realize this will make jedi much stronger, and I am not looking for an "I Win" template or character. Im all for fairness. I guess a better idea would be to incorporate the Saber discipline into the trees somehow that would keep it fair yet allow us more versatility. At this point, I feel like im talking in circles and thinking more and more this is a bad idea heh.
Second idea:
This is an idea for FRS. As you go up in ranks, your CL goes up. Very simple. This would give jedi the edge over non jedi toons while at the same time keeping them equal towards other jedi.
I guess that's all. I know they arent the greatest ideas, but it's just something to think about maybe.

First idea: Yes, you are pushing it. There is no way the game will be balanced if Jedi get 89 free additional skill points to spend on non-LS skills. Do you have any idea what a MLS / MDef / MEnh / Heal 4040 Jedi will be able to do?
Second idea: This is also far too unbalancing. So youre saying a Jedi Master might have CL 120 and be able to kill any krayt as easy as a current CL 80 toon kills lvl 60 to lvl 70 critters? The whole game would need to be re-balanced.

Yeah i figured the first idea was pushing it. As for the second idea, I didnt say how much extra CL they could get. I was thinking cap it at 95 for master. Have you played the FRS? Do you what youd have to do to get the FRS XP to reach it legitimately? If you can hit master and maintain it, Id say 95 is fair.

That doesnt change the fact that the game is balanced with CL 80 as the highest possible player level in mind, so no matter how much you increased FRS Masters beyond this cap, the game would need rebalancing and this would lead to non-CL 95 (or whatever players) being excluded from content.

i think defender should jsut be remved, all with it get a respec, and its defenses r spread throughout the trees, same with the specials (Aura in powers, AI in enh, Valor id say for Sabers but maybe enh aswell)
