First off, let me say that I understand that becoming a jedi means that I could behunted if I were not careful. If a BH comes for me, fine. It's part of the game. It should also really be MY fault when it happens. There are a lot of things that could be doneto make this a bit more fair and enjoyable.
I took a constructive view on the current visibility system. Some people want no visibility from npc's.Others don't want anything changed at all. I'd like to take a more realistic view based on what visibility is really supposed to be by the way it's presented. I am basing this off of an old but well known phrase — "Dead men (and women) tell no tales". I ask for these four things as far as visibility:
1. If you kill an npc who sees you using your powers or saber before you leave their area of sight, they should not give you vis.
2. If you are not within line of sight to attack an npc, regardless of whether their 32m away or not, they should not give you vis because technically, THEY can't see you either.
3. Vehicles should not give you visibility. Not sure if this is currently true, but if it is, it's utterly ridiculous unless every speeder in the game is based off of Knight Rider.
4. (this being very important for FRS) an npc of your own facton should not give you visibility. If jedi are forced to be in the GCW, they should at least get that benefit from their own faction.
These things would allow everyone to participate in most if not all of the new content and quests that are in the game without having to automatically end up on the terminals. To be able toactually play and have fun.. the TOTAL experience as they put it.I'm sorry but the trandos and wookiees fighting each other tooth and nail on the Avatar station do not have time to file a report before being swathed by saber. I don't understand how npc'scan suddenly appear out of thin air inthe wilderness and instantly go"hey look! A jedi! By the way, how the heck did I get here?" I also have an even harder time imagining the rebel commando that stops and says "Hold troops, it's a jedi on our side. Now where did I put the Emperor's cellphone number?" In all cases, if they die, there should still be no visibility.
Now, I understand many like to pvp. It's a certain mindset, a thrill, a challenge, etc. But not everyone likes to pvp ALL the time. Some would like to do interesting quests and participate in something else fun without everything grinding to a halt for yet another half hourepisode of BH vs. Jedi. Also, bear in mind that the jedi who want to stand around and display their skills in the middle of cities and such will still get all the vis they want from other players and the white dot npc citizens that are unattackable. You want to pvp? Great! You don't want to? There should be a real and fair chance to not.
I'd also like to make a note on the exp loss fromBH death. Maybe when jedi had all of their former abilities and benefits, it was something worth the risk, but now all it does is create more hate between two people that are just trying to enjoy playing the game in their own way. It doesn't do anything as a "control factor" in jedi advancement either.
Simple fact is that currently there is nothing for the jedi profession that makes it worth going through the extra time and effort to gain one, that is worth the detriments of being one. I'd like a better solution to this other than the BH or pvp uberstacker reply of "just playyour alt". If all anyone would want to do was experience the full game withtheir alt, why even bother with the grind in the first place?
I apologize for being a bit forward with all this but I am hoping that the current system can be looked at a little more objectively.

This is a fine idea but some of the thoughts are a little too complicated to code and most likely wont be looked at due to budget-time-etc. However I like it.
An example of one of the ideas that may be too complicated is the line of sight for the npcs. The way the game currently looks I doubt they could easily code in a patch to make line of sight. They would have to do alot of coding and with that would pop up new bugs....

That is true, but I have gotten the --Cannot See Target-- message come up for me plenty of times, so I'm guessing that at least something similar to this can be used. Even if they implemented it where you can avoid vis from npc's you kill it would at least be something.

only list sf jedi on the terms. if you want to pvp, you go sf like everyone else.
simple, easy to code and lets the ppl who want to pvp to continue to pvp. lets the ones out who don't want to.
