Thread: Avoid Incapataion broken?

Last night i was out to kill the 111's near dant MO, i usualy just Ai and kill em so i dont have to bother wasting foods on them to not AI kill them. Well im MD so of course i can take about 4 hits before i turn on AI like ive done in the past. Well down to 10% health so i turn on Ai macro, the AI buff appears and before i know it im dead??? i took a redom guess it was lag and i got unlucky i reapted this 10 TIMES and AI didnt fail the last time.....Is anyone else having this problem, without AI MD isnt worth it cause that is the only way for me to stay up in raid pvp sense its gank 1 person at a time.
Well post some feedback so we can mail this to the devs
im sure with all there concern for making this game good they will fix it...

It's veryannoying.
It's happened to me many times.
It's probably caused by lag (from past threads on the subject).
I doubt it will everget fixed.
Macros make it worse.

I had this problem a few times, I was sure it was lag. However... One of those guys one shotted me the other day. Now I just go into the fight with AI on and it's no problem.
Secondly,history has shownyour dellusions of grandeure regarding the devs caring to make the game better based on a relatively minor problem areSORELY misplaced.

no kidding and you have to press AI again at like 10-12 seconds some time for it to go through, I end up pressing SEC to clear anything that might be in que then AI. And it will go off anywhere from 10-0 seconds if you press it at 10-12. So this is lossing us 10-12 seconds of AI, I think we should get it longer for this reason.

OK the dev statement was sarcasim nothing else. im thinking on going 444def cause of how shlty AI works. and pick up force armor and better heals.

1. Macros are waaaay too risky to use with the current laggy state of many servers.
2. As soon as you see that AI icon flashin, run another AI. I've seen AI give out with 5, 7 or even 10 seconds left on the timer...

Yep, nothing beats getting killed when AI still has 4 or 5 seconds left on it.

My macro has it so it starts 8 seconds before my current one ends, there is no reason i should die.

Supression does that too. You root someone and as the icon starts to flash to tell you it's about to stop, the person starts running, while rooted with the icon flashing... Very frustrating

Yeah I got killed in DWB at the corner for the mine key, I got killed and the AI icon was still on not even flashing yet.

And the worse part about it is it still takes your force even if it didn't "work" in time and you end up laying on the ground plus you are rooted while you have that massive overlap from the timers. The skill costs way too much to use, has really, really bad side effects, and is still about 15% reliable to actually do anything but hinder you while you still die.

I have had AI fail with 10 full seconds left. 
That's with NO macros.
In the worst occurance I have experienced I got4 combat system messages before incap timer.
*you cannot saber throw while incapacitated*
*you cannotsaber leg hitwhile incapacitated*
*you cannotsaber head hitwhile incapacitated*
*you cannot avoid incapacitation while incapacitated*
*you have become incapacitated*
THEN the incap timer shows up
THEN my toon falls from standing
I was a steadfast supporter of the need for a combat revamp.
I was patient and forgiving as the 'Combat Upgrade' came to be.
I am starting to lose patience though.
The new combat code is thouroughly borked at every turn!
Blame it on lag if you want. It's still inexcusable.

Beside lag and therefore a known vulnerability for the last 5 seconds of it when you can easily get incaped, you should know that there is a RANDOM possibility for AI to allow damage through.
I experience this when 10+ ppl are attacking me while AI or sometimes with necro/111 when I feel like using it. I got incapped sometimes with 2 AI active, sometimes with 10-20 secs left etc.
I suspect its working as intended cause there is no statement from any dev saying that AI guarantees no-incap.
I support this behavior as long AI goes back to what it was pre-cu when it meant something.
