Thread: Goin into Exile, what are my boundaries?

Heya,
I am goin into exile for awhile but I am trying to find out how safe it is
I want to keep my Jedi toon and I heard the SOE agrees to keep your toon for 3 months. Anyways I am off for a month and will be back for the digital download and then I am outta here (goin into exile). Cause I am playin Wow - a better game except no Jedi 
So i am thinkin i wil have to pay like $15 every three months to keep my jedi on their hard drive
Is that correct?

i havent heard of anyone's toon being deleted after a long hiatus from the game.

A friend of mine just returned to SWG after being gone for about 4 - 5 months. His toon had been deleted. I do not recall exactly what a CSR told him, but he had to create a new character. I would just becareful about letting your account go unpaid for too long. I would rather be out the .50 cents a day to keep my account active just in case that the game starts to improve by the end of the year.

There is a set timefram in which you are safe, after that you can be deleted, I think it is done randomly on random servers, prolly the heavy servers get it done more then the lower servers, do not just think becuase your a jedi you are safe..............

Ok, so every 3 months looks good, well if dont see any visions of improvement by listening to the player base and fixing some major key issues/bugs by the turn of the year, i might be lookin to ebay fro my jedi account, but who knows. I just wish they had the creative people to do all this cool stuff we think up.

I reactivated an account that had not been in use for about a year, and all the toons where gone, it didnt matter coz 1 of my friends was taking over the account from another friend of mine...

check ur cntrl h. or knoldegbase, ur toons arent deleted after a set amount of time, there kept until the game is no more, found that in the knowledge base when looking for one of my probles
BTW now that everything is bugged in the game, how come the knowledge bas eis as well? i neve ruse it anymore, ever since JTL its been pulling up all the messages in tehre that contain jsut the letter of what i put in the question box. its ridiculoous
Example: i put in Jedi, FRS, it gives me:
JTL the new expansion
How to drive ur vehicle
How to join a PA
What is SWG?
How to start ur own city
What is stun?
What are States
(heres my favorite) How to report an harrasment
IM BEING HARRASED WITH A TONof STUPID ANSWERS

Well there were no toons on my friends account and he hasn't deleted them, I was looking forward to checking his really old stuff, but all toons were gone. I said 12 months, but the account hadn't been used since about feb 2004.. I just figured 12 months was the delete limit as other friends have been away for 6-8 months without loosing their toons

I just hope you're not on Bria. Good chance they'll delete your info if the server stability doesnt get better

I was gone for well over a year and all of my toons were still around, lost all my houses though due to maint but now that maint will come out of your bank account shouldnt be a problem
