K I was just reading this post and this guy said that Lucas Arts took over SWG and that SOE isn't in charge of the game anymore... you might be all like "HOLY **edit** I CAN'T BELEIVE YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT OMFGROFLMAO NEWB!" or something like that.. but yeah.. is it true?

Lucas Arts is nowhere big enough to take over SOE, at least for the moment. They have been more of a "Idea" company recently, letting other companies use thier brand for a cut of the profits. What you are seeing now might be them using their leverage to make changes they believe will bring them more money, or they fell for some BS marketing from SOE thinking they can cash in on the upcoming PS3 by making this game work with a console.

No, what I ment was did SoE sell SWG to Lucas Arts.. but, I guess they didn't... would be cool if they did.

SOE doesn't need to sell SWG to Lucas Arts. Lucas always owned the Star Wars name, they only licensed it out to SOE to make an online game, I suspect a license with a set start and end date and certain terms.
If Lucas wants to pull the license I suspect they could do so at any time.

There have always been LucasArts Producers for the game. Hayden Blackman was the producer for LA through JTL then Julio took over. Nothing has changed there. LucasArts owns this game and always has.
