Thread: Petition to help SOE balance jedi

I resently changed my template to have absolutly no defender, i noticed that i really didnt take that much more dmg when i had 82 innate armor. I noticed what hurt me was the fact that i got hit with every attack, with my 20 melee defence.
When u look at other normal profession, that have anything to do with combat, you will notice melee and ranged defence is given. Therefor a master doctor has more melee and ranged defence then my mls mench.
I also remembered back in the day that SOE was promising a new system where everything is balanced. If every jedi profession was balanced then why are we getting FOTMs? There should be no reason why one temp is better then the other. SOE sees FOTMs and instead of making other Templates better to counter act the FOTM SOE nerfs that FOTM. SOE this is not how u balance a game, take a hunch a try accually improving other Skils.
My advise would be to scatter melee and ranged def over all the jedi professions. NO NOT give other professions innate armor that is a defender only trait. But if ppl had more melee def as a master powers mls or mls mench you will see the templates start to vary, I promise. There will be more skills for counter acting other temps which in turn will open up for more stratagy, try is SOE put it in TC if it doesnt work then oh well im an idoit, no dmg done. I am not here to flame the DEVs just maybe i can help push them in the right direction.
I'd Like for other ppl to add other ideas for helping other temps be not so depending on Defender.

I will on sign a petition if it is to make no more changes at all. Fix bugs and leave rest alone. Everytime something gets "Fixed" or "Balanced" everything gets worse.

You just basically said Innate armor is useless (I disagree but ok) then you say you want to have it be the only trait for a defender..... hmmmm..... sounds balanced to me. Healer is already practically useless. Lets make defender useless. then we can all be the same temps with the remaining trees.....
If you can't tell.... I say no.

No id just like to have defender be a usefull profession, im not calling a nerf on defender... i like it to much. Guys this post has nothing to do with innate armor, im sorry i even mensioned it. Its about adding melee def to non defender skills, and its about posting other ideas. Im sorry i upset you guys.

you guys have been corrupted by all the negatives on this forum, i dont blame you ive been a jedi over a year and im not what i used to be. but plz guys if we add ideas, maybe, just maybe our voices will be heard? your all telling me that u dont want melee def? are you all crazy?

That was part of the whole reason for the CU. We've had patches DEDICATED to us for that reason, we have had whole lines and skills revamped for that reason.
Petition all you want, but all is does is take up server space and alot of 0's and 1's.

Because Jedi dont need another revamp. Bug fixes, yes. But dear lord not another revamp.
How about we revamp Smuggler, commando, crafters and entertainers , fix all the outstanding bugs (AB slices, saber speed, warping/sliding) and then talk about how to revamp Jedi for the 3rd time?
