Ok so I curiously rand up to the jedi temple on Dantooine and found the dark initiate (or jedi, or trainer, or whatver you'd like to call him). His first mission was easy.. Go kill some creature. But his second mission he gave me a jedi holocron to deliver to someone. I get out there and it's an aggro dark initiate. My Rancor pet was set to guard me and as i approached he aggro's and kills both me and my Rancor in what seemed like 3-4 seconds. He looked like he had a light saber handle in his hand but i never saw the light saber beam so can't say it was really one. He also made electric zapping noises as he attacked which reminded me of a light saber.

The real question though is how do you pass this mission if he aggro's and is so deadly? Anyone know why he's aggro'ing on me?

I suspect it's factional related.. i.e. whatever faction he is is one that i have a lot of negative towards. The guy giving you missions sure whats you to feel hate and so forth.. It would stand to reason you'd need more of an affinity with thugs and the like then townsfolk then when coming across something like a dark initiate. Of course this is just speculation and what i'm really after is a response that "oh i did that mission and he didn't aggro on me.. " along with some info as to what that person's faction status is like.

Currently i'm something like -5000 tusken raiders.. -5000 Valerian.. -2915 Mokk.. -5000 Pubam.. -5000 Thug..

I'm guessing one of those is a contributing factor to my problems here. Anyone with different factional status on the above get through this without him aggro'ing?

Target the NPC and type "/conv".
