Jedi Archive

Instead of saying that there are too many jedi and that permadeath should be instituted for them, why don't we accept that there are now too few non-Jedi, that there numbers are too small for sustainable survival and that, for their own sake, Jedi should now be able to permanently kill any non-Jedi of whatever level they encounter?
