Thread: They will never remove Jedi... LOL

I keep hearing all these Lucas arts is taking over posts, and george Lucas is unhappy with player characters as Jedi... It almost got to me and broke my spirit... then i thought to myself for a minute and looked for anything about GL being upset about Jedi, blah blah blah... all a huge fabrication.
All this crap about GL and Lucas arts being upset with SOE for allowing player Jedi is complete and utter Bull $hit period...
Lucas arts approved every single peice of content in the game... do you think they would let mattel market toys without approval or add new characters? Then who in the name of god would be so ignorant as to start a rumor that SOE just sneaked in Jedi while GL was sleeping.
I would like to see one shred of proof that george Lucas ever said he wasnt happy with Jedi as a player proffesion in SWG... I bet he is absoultley thrilled about it to be honest.

I agree something as big as adding player jedi into the game is something that would have been OKed by Lucasarts in the first place. Also this was decided from the start of the game. All the starting game concepts would have gone through Lucasarts as well.

i think George Lucas decided to nerf the amount of melons we were given rightthere in the beginning.
i still have my original melons on display in my house.

I know my post has kinda been done before, but I just finally hit my limit with "Remove Jedi" posts... Its Just plain ignorance, deceit, rumor, and plain bad taste to even mention garbage like that. The sooner that topic dies the better...
But in 2 years you will still hear Lucas arts considering a full wipe of Jedi in SWG with an official sounding quote in it...

One thing I thought lucasarts might do when/if they take over is this...
They might move the time period swg is set in so that it allowes for the story line ti have more jedi in the galaxies. Maybe to some time after return of the jedi?

I wonder... truly wonder, if George Lucas himself is sitting in his high rise multimillion dollar penthouse with a view losing sleep over "Oh God, did SOE let folks play as Jedi in a video game???"
come on...it's a video game... sure it's based on HIS concept, but do we really want to believe that Jedi players in a video game is really enuff to bug his day?

anyway, coding a game needs a precise destription of any feature, any button and any dialog, before any company will pay any money at all.
I know this since friends of mine work in this sort of work. so what they do, they pile mounts of papers, where everything is being written down. and I mean everything. then the company approves or approves not. is they do, money will be paid.
oh, by the way, nobody at SOE really cares about if we play Jedi, as long as we play at all. the truth, as easy as it is, goes like this:
money makes this world turn around.
