Thread: Before nerfing cloak please fix the cloak exploit/bugs

If a player is cloaked anyone can use the follow command and the Examine command. Will this be addressed before leaving us out there to these exploits? It is like making a car without seat belts. Once the snare goes into effect the people using the follow exploit are gona have a FIELD day with Cloakers. Also cloak has a bug where you can stay cloaked and still attack . Please FIX the bugs before you put in the NERF.

Suppose cloak is nerfed and a snare is added to it, along with all the other supposed changes that will "break" cloak, heals, etc....


You're asking if they'll fix the exploits people can perform on cloakers first before they totally nerf bang the cloak skill? The answer is a "No".....a resounding....NO.


I have no doubt in my mind that the exploiting **edit** MBH/MCM's will still be able to do /poison /fire /paralyze on you and have it work.

I have no doubt in my mind that the exploiting MBH's that do a /follow will still be able to track and follow you with ease.

I have no doubt in my mind that any emote such as /pet /slap, or any command like /ex will still be able to be done on cloaked jedi to find out if they are within a certain radius.


What you're really asking is, "Will Sony do their homework first and find out how a "fix" to a skill will impact teh rest of the game and their customers gameplay. Will they consider the problems this will ultimately create?". The answer is again "No".

Well BH can follow us cloaked I have 0 problems with this and that is a game mechanic I am fully aware of with BH droids . Right now they can do it NO problem. My problem is with /follow and the /ex comand. Why not make it so groupmembers can only follow people in a GROUP? Just like they did with the Vehicles. Same shizzle different dizzle.

You would think they will learn from experience. Well I will cancel my account if this comes into play with exploits still going on. There you go SOE. One more subscriber down the tubes. I don't mind the NERF but I do mind the exploits and Devs not giving a squat about them and pushing a NERF into everyones face without plugging the holes.

Our correspondadnt PMed me and said they are aware of this so I am a bit more relaxed now. I seriously do not mind the NERF .I do mind the exploits to find me.

Well I will just have to cancel my account untill its fixed. No way am I gona play with exploiters havign their way with me. It is just not enjoyable for me. I don't mind a Bh finding me cloaked that is their JOB.
