Respec. It really is that simple.

This respec should be given to those who currently have the skill points invested in cloak.

I dont like the changes, but understand that people abused some aspects of cloak and in turn it needed to be changed. I'm not going to bore you with what I think about the changes becuase there's a thousand posts like it.

My humble request is simple. Give us a respec. Those who chose to keep cloak can, while those who feel the new cloak wasnt worth the time invested can chose another path.

SOE, YOU are changing cloak, not the people who have it. Please keep in mind that somepeople like me, invested a lot of time in becoming a Jedi. I personally sacrificed a huge amount of my free RL time to have the template with cloak. Re-grinding is NOT an option for me becuase I dont have time these days. Remember, it's not a case of simply re-grinding a specific tree. If I dont have cloak, I need Master Def or something else to help me survive the ubber l337 CM BH's that come for me these days, not forgeting the negative XP I already have.

If cloak stops these noobs from exploiting and still alows me to escape a BH if needed, then cool. If not, and you intend on making cloak something completely different to what it is and what I signed up for, then please, avoid a PR disaster like the last one and offer a humble respec to those who dont already have it.

It's not much to ask is it?

I don't think there is much of a chance of a "PR disaster" over this at all...

Yeah that and the fact that Respec was the worst possible thing the developers ever could have done for this game. There's a reason it was NEVER done before in any other game, and threads like this are it. Now everytime something gets changed, people want a free respec. Respec's are not a good thing people.

i vote no. Too many respecs already. I regrinded from MDEF to MLS it isnt that hard just put some effort in it and dont be so lazy!

Yep, I think that there are more people that are happy about the nerf than upset over it.

Such is life. This has no chance whatsoever of become a full scale PR disaster like the xp nerf. Sorry won't happen. Your uberness will require some grindage to maintain.

Let me tell you something Bro. I'm not a "spotty kid" either.

Go play EQ or WOW or UO or ANY OTHER MMORPG, and see if they give you a free "respec" everytime they nerf or change something with your character.

Though I can't say it WON'T happen, I can definitely say that for the good of the game and the people that play it, There should be NO more respecs. Period. End of Story.

why, you would just respec into another nerfed line. soe just needs to quit killing the alpha class. I would love for a memo to surface that soe is doing this against jedi just to thin jedi out. I really beleive that all this grief is to get rid of jedi so new players stay in the game. The ideal solution is that frs towards a master level is done on a different server and you cant come back till you are a master level jedi. But, that takes talent and soe doesnt have any.

Perhaps you could explain how. Only THE mostest uberest groups spinning pikets with incredible focus get 500k/hour. And that's being lucky. Furthermore, they never hold up for 6 hours straight. And a shift from one tree to another isn't 3mil XP (heck not even a master box is 3mil). I think you read your Xp meter wrong or conveniently left out the 2 hours waiting to get the group together or fill spots or find all masters, etc.
