Recently in this forum and many other's, I have seen posts in the hundreds about how the Dev's are unfair, and how they might as well nerf everything in the game to finish runining it. I've also seen alot of cries and/or greif posts about how certian skills and abilities are unfair, or how SWG was a mistake from the start.

Post's like this have no purpose other than to vent your pent up frustration about your current situation. Try to find another way to vent by thinking up practical ways to attack and solve a situation, working with the devs and other prof's instead of against them. I am not incinuating that all the people that post in these threads are do-nothings and/or crybabies because every single person has a unique perspective of the game.

However, I am sure that if instead of posting something like this in order to vent your own frustration, and focused on bringing up new ideas that would help people, SWG would be much better off for it.

For instance, I do not like what they are doing with force cloak, it makes the ability loose its purpose, so instead of posting mass murder and meyhem, I think... hmm...maybe make this instead of force cloak

Force Mind trick (like an advanced mind blast) - your power enters the very mind of a targeted being and forces his mind to be unable to comprehend your existance (subject to a resistance check)

Now this might not be the best of ideas, heck it might even suck... but its putting my own personal frustration into something that might help the community.

Why not try again?

Problem: I dont like the fact that the Dev's seem to be so aloof from the population of SWG. Each profession has its own correspondent, but there seems to be a gap.

Proposed Solution: SOE asks for volunteers that have experiance with the game and how it works, makes (mini) representatives that can report to the correspondants and they all directly represent the community of SWG because they were chosen from SWG's ranks.

I know for a fact that many people would be more than willing to help out SOE in making SWG a really good MMORPG.

By taking things that frustrate us, and making it into constructive solutions for problems that we see (instead of flaming or ranting) We can go a long way twoards making this game something to remember.

Perhaps, lets give the idea's one more go...lets choose a big problem this time

Problem: Jedi is completely broken/unbalanced/unfair and half the powers are broken, BH's continually have war's with jedi and the hate is rising to a boiling point

Solution: Make BH's able to hunt more than just jedi to take some of the heat off, then revamp jedi so that it can be a profession to be proud of again.

Problem: Jedi are way to popular and visible in the servers these days...its no longer something unique

Solution: Force the jedi to go into hiding again by making NPC's attack any jedi who is noticed in a city (in amounts so large/skilled the jedi pretty much just dies)

Like I said before, some of the ideas I made might be good, some might be really bad...the point is that I dont flame to vent my frustrations, I solve the problem using a creative idea.

I ask that in the posts following this one, people post thier own ideas and solutions to the problems they see in this game. I also ask that if you have an opinion about someone else's idea, take it to another thread (this means good and bad), this thread should be just for ideas and positive yet creative solutions to SWG's problems.
