  • Question: Will our counter-camo skills be able to detect Jedi and Rifleman under concealment and cloak?

  • Answer: Jedi Force Cloak is a mind trick so we cannot detect that, however jedi cannot mind trick machines and therefore our motion detectors can detect them. Riflemen are not personal concealment experts so they will be open to exposure from tracking Rangers.

Currently, that is correct.


I thought they wouldnt be able to detect cloaked Jedi...According to Helios they can

Any cloak countermeasures will be useless since no will use cloak anymore. Cloak will be nothing more than a tool to drain your force.

yea i don't know how much of a difference it will make. When do you plan on using cloak with the proposed changes? Your not going to be using it much. Could you imgaine trying to sneak up someone in a grp for a supposed alpha strike. You get there after traveling 5 minutes snared and if they stayed in one spot you have 1/4 your force gone which you can't channel back. I mean a snare makes no sense to stop escape especially if they intend to fix the follow trick but it makes every bit of sense to stop that which they advocate the move to be a "alpha strike"

Well even if rangers can use traps to see cloakers we need to see where that trap skill will be. Ranger is said to need 2 lines of scout now only which still limits possible ranger templates because they will also need damage and healing skills from other proffs. I doubt many PvP rangers will actually be around.

oh and it says rangers cannot de-cloak a jedi but the trap will tell you they are around.

gg soe! I love having ground pre-9, completed 12 full retemplates (via grinding), and working for the best equipment soI can be reduced to content for every other class.


I guess cloak needed to be nerfed, after all it was a skill that nonjedi didnt currently have and was actually somewhat useful. If we have one thing to learn from their conduct, Jedi have no right to be viable and nonjedi should have access to more powerful versions of our skills with lesser costs.


Can they fix our broken saber speed? No.


Can they fix jedi speed tapes? No.


Can they fix pearl drops? No.


Can they fix any one of the myriad of other bugs affecting us? No.


Yet they always have time to nerf us.


Keep it up devs, there's still 3 or 4 jedi that haven't quit this travesty of a "game".

yes but i am concerned that a bh could bring a ranger friend with him that will decloak...The snare is already death to this skill most of us know that.

No where does it say a ranger can de-cloak a jedi. It actually says a ranger can not de-cloak a jedi only detect there presence using a trap.

It could just be a scare but I take the words "detect" to mean that when the ranger uses motion detectors it will uncover you and say you have beendiscovered like it does when something uncovers a rifleman.
