Thread: Idea for an easy solution to the pearl/crystal issue

This has probably been brought up before but seriously, it would completely fix the whole damn issue and make MLS actually noticeably better than a 0404 temp.
The idea is simple, re-cert lightsabers like they used to be (i.e.you gain the ability to use higher gen sabers as you gain saber skills). You base around 85% of the saber damage on the jedi's ability to CRAFT the saber.
This does two things, in order to craft a 5th gen saber(yes bring them back)you must be a lightsaber master soyou'd (wow)actually do more damage than a dabbler lucky enough to have the right CAs and spanky crystals. The other thing this would do is reduce the overall importance of crystals and pearls to where having crappy ones isn't as much of a handicap.
While we're at it, a high quality master crafted saber should have a base damage of like 550-700 without any crystals...damnit!
Oh yeah, bring back the lightsaber damage type too!! (Nothing will get done so might as well ask for everything 
)
