Does anyone know if the server registers your mastering of a profession upon mastering, when you log off, or 30 or so minutes later?

IMPORTANT question that needs to be answered please...

Great question. I have yet to get my first holocon, but am closing in on Master Bounty Hunter. Now after I am a MBH and finally get a holocon, Iwill be forced to give up my MBH status. Well here is where I get scared, can I end up with another Holocon that tells me to Master Bounty Hunter? Do the professions you have mastered get stored in your SOE char. database?

Yes... your mastered professions are "flagged" and you can drop it if you like. Dropping mastered professions is the only way possible to mastering your 5 predetermined professions on your road to unlocking your FS slot

it registers upon training the master profession. it also seems to register any professions you qualify for when you earn any type of exp. for example, take a character you've never played before and login. the first exp you earn it will list everything you qualify for...

The registration of qualified skills is interesting. If you reinstall it'll tell you all the skills you qualify in a system message the next time you login andearn exp. It also did this to me when Politician was added to the server. Its not the server telling you 'you qualify' for the first time, its the client. So if you uninstall and reinstall it'll go through and tell you all the skills you qualify for, again. Some stuff is 'cached' on the client between sessions

Some people report getting the slot about 20 seconds after the train mastery in a profession. This most likely means it takes about 20 seconds for the server to record you as having mastered a profession. So keep it for a few minutes or go earn some xp real quick then drop it.

well shoot, i didnt get any additional xp after mastery, think it makes a difference?

Don't worry. As soon as u mastered something, the client sends the data over to the server ASAP. Even if u dropped it as soon as u mastered it, it will make no difference.

so it is confirmed that the professions u need to master is pre-determined?

interesting .. for some reason i thought i saw a post stating that one of the people to open their fss mastered doc before holo's came out and dropped it.. after holos came out it said to master doc again.. why didnt it lock the master doc from the first time it was mastered? or are holo's random picks(based on a numeric system)that get locked into your character after you use them?.. i will attempt to find the post from a few weeks ago.. or maybe u can find it from the master skills listed by the lucky jedis.. either way.. have fun. im on my second profession with many to go i assume.

I have used only one holocrons so far, said master Entertainer, did that.

I have now also mastered Dancer, Musician, and Image Design.

I am now working on mastering Marksmen, Medic and Scout BEFORE using my second holocron....
