Do the stats of your existing saber effect the stats on the next generation saber built? For instance, if I have a really crappy first generation saber, but I use excellent resources to craft the 2nd generation saber, will the 2nd saber stats reflect the crappy saber used to build it? I looked in the FAQ and I didn't see this...
Not that I'm a Jedi yet, but if/when I get there I don't want to screw all my lightsaber generations because I started with a crappy 1st gen.

Hello,
To craft a new generation lightsaber, we need to use a previous generation lightsaber.
Does the stats on the previous generation lightsaber affect the stats on the new generation lightsaber?
Thanks

I know the other stats stack, haven't really tested force cost (I upped my saber to 3rd genbefore I started using force powers) but I'm pretty sure that stacks too.

They *definitely* stack.
My gen 5 saber has ungodly force costs - I've got a couple of boxes of Force Power and I can't do specials with it unless I want to be completely out of power after 1 or 2.

Well, I currently have a generation 3 saber that I made with some pretty crappy crystals. All of the crystals had a force cost of +25 or more. As a result the force cost on my saber blows. I am wondering whether or not the force costs of the previous saber stack onto the new saber when created.
So lets say my generation3 saber used a crystal with +25 force cost and one with +27 force cost. If I were to use a crystal to upgrade with a force cost of +2 will my gen4 saber have a force cost of +2 or a force cost of +54?
Is there a faq or something about saber crafting that tells if resources, and which stats on a resourceeffect the stats on a saber? Any help would be appriciated.

What all is needed to make a lightsaber? Right now I'm grinding away at my silent Holo but I'm also looking to stock up on the items needed to craft a lightsaber. Please let me know.. Thanks.

The stats for crafting the refined crystal packs do not matter as the crystals themselves have no stats upon completion.
For your saber you'll want plenty of metal/minerals with high shock resists (on Radiant we have some 999 SR Iron, but barely anybody has any and I was fortunate enough to get 2k of it, which actually is plenty enough for a jedi).
After the training saber each generation (2nd through 5th) will require the previous generation lightsaber as well as a crystal or krayt dragon pearl (refined crystal packs will not work in crafting anything except training sabers).
Hope this helps you out.

what about a Rancor Tooth, is that needed?
Nope. Crystals, pearls, gas, mineral, metal, chemicals, and gemstones are all you will ever need to craft sabers.
