i was wondering when or if option of being a jedi appears, do you have to be rebel or can be imp?

the devs said any person, regardless of faction can become force sensitive

its not like all imperials r bad... only higher ranking ppl for the most part. think of it like one of those movies where a good guy is working for a company that he thinks is good but is secretly ploting to take over the world. he thinks the company is good so he works for them. does that make him bad?

I believe this is actuall a different question.
Any profession, species, or faction can open the FS slot.
But since you must be a Jedi before you can fall and become a Dark Jedi, it makes sense that once you gain the FS slot, you are more restricted. It seem reasonable you must follow the Jedi Code to get training. It seems unlikely that the character in the FS slot could join the imperial faction and then find a Jedi Trainer. It is more reasonable the FS character finds a trainer, falls to the Dark Side and then joins the imperials

How is was Pre-Cu
After you killed your trial which leads to which selection you make ( Light or Dark )
You have to be that faction
Imp = Dark
Rebel = Light
If you are not Rebel and you choose Dark Jedi, then you must goto a recruiter become imp and go meditate at a force shrine and it will ask you again, and then you can become a Dark Jedi or Vise Versa.

used to be that after completing padawan skills you could choose between dark jedi apprentice and Jedi Apprentice......
long gone now tho
