Thread: You want to get rid of Bounty Hunters? This will do it.

The jedi seems to certainly have a big population, so push for a system of player bounties outside of your own that can be rewarding for both sides, the hunter and the hunted, and say goodbye to that god awful harassment you so clearly don't deserve.
Given the Dev track record, it'd be more likely to happen if everyone everywhere requested that it NOT happen.

Lets start debating what other proffessions woul;d be viable targets ... like why they have a bounty on there head ....you know how they get vis ... since its alot diff for non Jedi...you have to screw up and make someone really mad to want your head on a plate... then also look at fairness issue ...cause I meen... you don't want a hard core BH/CM going after a CL 1 ent or crafter either ...
Ok I see smuggler as very "movie Like" cause of the Han Solo Vs Bobba Fett stuff
and smugglers can mix with another combat mastery and be very wicked opponets with there specials this also arises to fact that a BH would have to be more tactical in how he fights a Smuggie combo compared to a Jedi combo
them being hunted (gaining vis) is easy to justfy with failure on a smuggler mission
I could also see Bounty Hunters being hunted for failure to complete missions PC or NPC
Im not sure about anyone else tho...the rest are either ents...crafters ...or soldiers in GCW and I can't explain why they'd be hunted
maybe something to do with using spice or sliced weapons and armor? not sure that fits tho ...not for a PC BH to come..maybe a NPC spawn but not a PC
Oh...and to add to the excitement of mystery of BH and make it a little more BH like by investigatig a bit....
Make it so the terms are generic ... Player Mission.... no faction... no Jedi /smuggler/ BH title.. so you won't know who you are after till you seeker droid there name or come up on them and then ... see the drama if its a FUll temp Jedi..padawana...smuggler... or fellow BH stalking his own mark 
while all along you yourself may be being hunted as well if you have failed a mission
just some base Ideas maybe a few ppl can add to

Honestly, i don't see a problem hunting a level 1 entertainer. Perhaps they abandonded a dancing mission for a prestigous club owner and ruined his night. I'd actually find that extremely awesome, it'd certainly keep them from being AFK. But the system would be rewarding to both sides, assuming they're the side that won the encounter (BountyHunter collects, or the Mark escapes). Not the jedi system we have now.

It is always ironic to read a whining post about whining. Sounds like someone needs to switch to Windows minesweeper and stop playing online games...

hmmmm thats makes for some very intresting role play..... I think you may be onto teh basis of a good idea.... yeah and no worries the way you made your orginal post kinda almost came off as a Jedi hater until you realize by reading the whole post that those are the ones you are talking down on
