Thread: Too late to Ebay now...

What a waste of 2 years of my life - now I can't even cut my losses and try to get $500 outta the whole deal. I've stayed true throughout all the changes, always the guy replying to the doomsayers "chill man, wait and see, it's not gonna be so bad".
Well it's finally here, the death knell, the final death spasm of a once truly great MMO. The game used to be so complicated, which is what my friends and I who played loved about it - it was so immersive, had so much to learn. The combat system was truly unique (pre-cu), the player based economy was huge, second to none. The environment is still probably the biggest, and one of the best looking (imho), but all it is now is an empty shell, with nothing happening in its vastness.
With those geeky pics of the Star Wars 'Icons' it really has a pre-pubescent feel to it. I'm an intelligent adult, and a huge fan of the Star Wars genre - I dont need some stupid picture telling me who or what a Jedi is, or what my character is based on from the movies. I never wanted to 'be' Luke, I wanted to role-play MY OWN Jedi character, with my own personality, quirks, and style.
I dont know - ima positive person usually, and such a fan of Star Wars I probably won't cancel my account, and I'll figure out how to put a positive spin on the whole thing - but still, this is yet another sad turn of events for the game.

try playing a game that doesn't change its ruleset every 10 months and erase all your work. DAoC, WoW, even EQ or EQ2 are good options. The SOE crew that works SWG is the biggest collection of scammers I've ever seen.

i agree!
corny pictures. feels like its some kiddy mario kart picture.
i would suggest using actual pics from IN-GAME BH, jedi, etc...not some movie stock photo.

Ya know the really sad thing - I never even got to be a Jedi Knight. That was my whole goal from day 1 ( sep. 11, 2003). Just as I completed my Padawan template, and actually did my first Knight Trial, they shut the FRS down in preparation for the whole CU fiasco. So I waited, and waited, and waited... for 8 months or so - in hopes of the FRS coming back. I truly do feel SCAMMED out of all the subscription fees.

they should have told us a LONG time ago they had no intention of bringing back the FRS

eh? lol. I'm on the terms permanently. Please come to Shadowfire and hunt me while you can. I'm sure the bonus for actually killing me is HUGE, seeing as I have not been defeated by a bh since I've been a full template Jedi... which was well before the CU.
