You have to be careful using imp force run as well. Toggling on and off constantly is a HUGE force drain. And collect holocrons they are the only really non suicidal way to get force fast int the midst of all hell. But choose the time wisely it will be @ 24 hrs before you can use another.

Granted you shouldn't channel in combat, but you still can if you really need to. Plus you can out of combat and cut your recovery time down by like 10 minutes. And with the DR on FR, I would say go channel.

Depends on what you are looking for... Mod DPS or Actual DPS? With or with out element damage?

10% of a lightsabers performance depend on the crafting skill of the Jedi crafting the saber and the resources used, 90% on the crystals / pearls inside.
A top-of-the-line 4th generation saber with crystals / pearls loaded will have stats of about:
620 - 720 damage, 216 elemental
100 SAC
10 Force Cost
2.0 base speed
- or slightly better in each category -
I use a 3rd generation saber most of the time and my stats are about as follows (cant look for exact stats currently):
420 - 520 damage, 130 elemental
125 SAC
23 Force Cost
2.75 base speed
This was crafted from 2 premium pre-CU pearls tuned post-CU, 1 good post-CU pearl, and not the best resources available with only the Novice Lightsaber box.
Most 3rd and 4th generation sabers crafted by new Jedi post-CU will have stats around the ones of my saber until they get LS xxx4 (better SAC / speed / Force cost) and until they tuned enough post-CU "good" pearls (better speed / damage / Force cost).

It is a pity that this is true. I wish there was more to the crafting, it would take muchemphasis off getting great tunes... oh well, a man can dream. Iseem to remembersome Dev's said way backthat pearls would be enhancements to a saber, not required components. I guess technically they aren't required but who wants to use a 40 or 50 FC saber?
