Thread: After the first Jedi appear in the game
What will happen then?
I think I remember reading somewhere that someone said that eventually the secret will get out on ways to do it (unlock the FS slot) and the correct methods will be posted all over the internet. So what then?
Will people drop everything that they've worked for for months or possibly year(s) to work on becoming a Jedi? What could that do to the economy if major or popular crafters stop their work to become Jedi? And so on and so forth with other professions.
If and/or when this happens, you think the Devs will implement new ways of unlocking the FS slot and everyone that waited so long to get to it will have to start all over again searching for ways to unlock it again? Just a little thought I had and it sort of bothered me at how there could be a sudden surge in FS slots and if you don't get in on them real quick, you'll have to wait till the next methods are discovered or just stumble apon it yourself.
Im not gonna give up my Artisan to become a jedi if ppl start to find out how to unlock the fs slot..... besides if everyone stops there main character to make a jedi,,, just means i can get more business selling to all the new jedis.. hehe
The devs have also written a post which tells us that it is impossible for someone to write down a specific path to unlock the FS slot. Even if some did write down what they did (Meaning there could be a way to recognize you're on the FS path) if someone else follows it the possibility for them to also unlock the FS slot using the same process would most likely fail.
This is all part of the exciting mystery!
Will people drop everything that they've worked for for months or possibly year(s) to work on becoming a Jedi?
I will. But I feel a large majority of people will not. Just because it would become more of a burden to maintain two characters. With item decay and rent on housing, it'll just not be worth it to alot of people I think.
What could that do to the economy if major or popular crafters stop their work to become Jedi?
It would destroy the economy, thats why they are betting that only a few will truely take on the challenge. Sure there will probably be people working on their FS character really slowly when they get bored with their primary character, but only a small percentage of players.
If and/or when this happens, you think the Devs will implement new ways of unlocking the FS slot and everyone that waited so long to get to it will have to start all over again searching for ways to unlock it again?
I think the current mystery is tough enough to break, however I do think that if ALOT of people start figuring it out they will change some of the variables.
