since everyone is stuck on labels how about just removing the "jedi" from everything.remove the jedi padawans and initates thenafter that make all "former" jedi into whatever they are, call them force healers or force defenders, whatever they have. initates would be deemed force users or wielders or some variant of the name. if the complaint is there are few jedi in the timelinethenjust remove themby name however im sure therewere many folks touched and connected with the force so i dont think the "canon criers" canhave much room for complaint there.

next, after everyone has become a "forceuser" and has mastered whatever their chosenfieldsare, the next step can be becoming a padawan. becoming a padawan should involve **formal** training sothat maybe obiwans ghost can help there. for example, after mastering force healer, the ghost can teach you secrets to force healing that only *jedi* know aka ppl with formal jedi training.

becoming a padawan should be a task and a pain, not just being a knight. everyone would keep their saber but few people would actually BE jedi. that way the population is reduced and thus no one can say there are too many jedi.

I think the DEVs should institute a new trial for the Padawan Trials...the Mental Trial. The purpose: to see if the Jedi can actually handle the countless nerfs that will inevitably be thrown at them throughout their Jedi lives. I think very few would become Jedi just from that.
