The Lava Crystal code:
Press Up,Up, Down,Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A before the demonstration begins at the title screen. Then, press Start to begin the game in lava crystal mode or Select, Start to begin in uber pwnzors mode.

i heard it drops from the sher kar but not 100% positive

Well, I heard that if you use the lava crystal in conjunction with falling into a certain area of lava... you will be whisked away to a pre-cu server. No one knows where to jump, of course... it will be exciting to see when this mystery unfolds!
