Thread: 1st BH visit

Well my 1st BH came for me after 3 weeks of being a jedi now. I was ALT+Tabbed to my desktop doing something on the internet when I heard the combat music. I had left myself in the Mos Espa starport, next to the ticket droid to Alt Tab real fast...what a mistake that was LOL. I minmize the desktop back to Galaxies and i see im at 1/3rd health and then incapped. I get up before he DBs though and try to heal, but he incaps me again. I send him a tell saying "you got me while i was away u **edit**!! lol nice job though"
...but i get up a 3rd time before he DBs!! i heal up, buff up and the fight is on. I try rooting him and running away but im TEFed and apparently i can not leave the cirlcle of the center of the starport!!!! So basically im in a death arena now. So i try attackin him and his healing droid but its no use. The fight lasts no kidding about 5 minutes before im out of force and he kills me.
With 4050 Force and 33 Force Cost Saber doing 420-515 dmg i guess i run out of force fast. I think my Force Armor helped in sucking my force down real fast too =(
I'm currently: LS 2444 Def 1040 ENH 4202 HL 4000 and i lost 450k and he received $225k.
Kinda sucky that i lost Full Temp exp and he got Full temp jedi payout....without ACTUALLY fighting a full temp. I mean im close...but not there yet, still have a ways to go.
He was a cool BH. Props to Administrator, for he was the BH (Bria Server). I even fought him after he killed me to practice and i lasted maybe about 10 minutes this time once i was actually READY to fight...but again my force ran out and i was a dead duck. But i appreciated the practice.
Thats the last time i Alt Tab for like 30 seconds HAhahaha. Thought i'd share this with u.
I have a new saber i made now. 437-545 Dmg with 31 FC...but i still dont think it will help me much. I have all crystals wit tunes of 69-79 as my best 4

on a side note....i dont think you should be TEFed in a starport....being locked in the landing area was NOT my idea of fun...and i thought that was really crappy.
Think the devs should fix that.

Yeah saber TEF is kinda funny when your pvping and a guy shuttles in and trys to make a run for it and get bumped right back in. But quite annoying after you kill him and you gotta wait 3 min before you can go leave.

Good to read about people still having fun with the game, I hate the jedi grind but it is worth it to fight other peeps.

make sure you use your padawan robe when fighting bhs. the +10 force regain and +250 force is enough to keep you going at least a few extra min before your force is gone. Try to take it easy the first few min after a bh attacks you. size him up and take everything he can dishout. Try to use the terrain to your advantage.
when his action starts getting low work his heath a bit and get his healing pattern down. Make sure his action is nealry gone so he can't knockdown recover. then just as he is about to heal himself knock him down than unload on him with you strongest attacks. If you do it just right you can take him out before he can even stand up.
Other than that ranged attacks and force run is you best chance aganist a bh. Always carry a Laser RIfle! use the rifle and force run and keep him at a range of 35+ m. that way you can kite him when he is at a range of 30-60 m and without a rifle there is nothing he can do.if he wants to use a pistol he has to get within 35 m of you. When he does knock him down, hit him with some force powers and see if he has the guts to do it again.

You made so many mistakes that could have been avoided:
Never afk/minize swg as a jedi without being in a private structure, ever. Do so and you should be killed.
Don't get so much vis. Now, don't take this the way some say it... I finally unlocked six weeks ago, now full temp and haven't been hunted yet. Yes, I had to not engage lairs with npcs all over the place in range. Yes, I didn't enter towns with saber equipped, robe on or any jedi buffs in effect. Yes, I even insisted that bikes be stored at lairs or parked >33m away. There's so many people who are heavy in vis, it's really not hard to stay off the terms while you grind a template, if any reasonable caution is used. If you let those who say "you're going to get vis anyway" drag you into using your force skills around entities, you're just asking to get hunted early.
Last mistake was maybe posting the incident here, cause you'll likely hear some flames. 'Course...I wouldn't be surprised if I do the same thing after my first bh visit...

You seriously need to master something and condense your skill points into maximizing your force. I personally don't care for FA, it just sucks your force bar dry, and you don't have enough to work with as it is. I take 40 more damage with 4040 defender over having 0040 defender and x4xx enhancer. I don't care for the trade off on force drain myself. Looks like you are going MLS, I would finish that as fast as you could. The fact that you lasted that long with two incaps and your template isn't all that bad.

Oh its definately fun being a jedi. But i just didn't like that i was trapped in the "arena" I dont think you should be trapped to fight. Talk about "forced PvP" LOL 
Other than the TEF were you can't enter a house once combat is started...you should never be pinned down in one area forced to fight. As a jedi with the risk of losing 450k exp like i did, its BS that i couldn't run away =(

I don't think this was a TEF at work trapping you in an area, I've been trapped in the startport, prevented from entering a starport and even prevented from entering a house for the clone armor quest! it's a bug that seems fool the server into thinking you should be somewhere else (normaly about 10m away) and keeps resetting you to that point.
I goes away after about 60 seconds or so.... very annoying!!

Well, technically, you were outside. Part of the trick to all this is making sure that you think through all the "what if's" of every single situation and location you are at. If you don't want to be stuck there, don't go in until you are ready to load elsewhere. I personally prefer it, then I can kill the BH without having to chase him to hell and back as he runs. It isn't always possible to run as a jedi. It isn't a guarantee, but it is an option if you plan wisely. The BH couldn't run either, he just was able to kill you first. Until you are finished, don't care about exp loss, and or don't care if you die and are trapped, you need to never go afk or tab out unless you are in a safe place.
