Well, the combat upgrade didn't nerf DJM's....it was done way after. The dev team deliberately nerfed them once people started farming them.

The possible stats that a pearl can give you are the same, regardless of the pearl quality. The only advantage a "premium" pearl gives you is a better chance of getting higher stats. "Fixing pearls" would be a matter of changing the level ranges for different quality pearls. This would be a retroactive change which would suddenly change all the pearls in the game to be high-level pearls, increasing the power of Jedi globally and almost instantly - Unless we simultaneously lowered the advantage of premium pearls so that they don't give as much an increase to the odds of getting higher stats as they do now.

Find me one person that has tuned a perfect pearl from a "good" pearl, on any server.The chances of tuning somethingperfect from a "good" are so high its impossible. There is a way to fix it, you guys just aren't doing it. If you can't find a developer that can implement a viable solution, you need to hire new ones.

We would rather keep the premium pearls as they are - highly desirable and much better (in terms of the odds of getting higher stats) than normal pearls, but not drop them as casually as they dropped in the past. These should be rare, elite quest rewards and very high-end, elite-monster drops - not things that players "farm" from creatures that are no match for the player.

Ok, I can buy this but considering it has to be tuned and there is no garuntee on how its going to tune, it's a horrible concept. You want to keep something super rarebut when a player does finally get one, its more than likely his time and effortis wasted becuase his premo will tune to garbage. Make them super rare but make it so when you get one, it was worth the wait. I know it will never happen because someone at SOE has a mindset that everything musthave a chance at failing, failure, poor tunes, busted repairs etc.

I have been reading this thread on and off today. It seems the most common questions asked are when will Premium Pearls be back and what happens with those already existing on the Galaxies...

We will bringPremium Pearlsback into the game once we figure out a favorable implementation of these special items. There is not a specific ETA for this change and all players that have old Premium Pearls will get to keep them in the interim.

While I managed to tune some very nice premo crystals ( a couple perfect), you are shafting your community again. You are basically telling most of your players that their $14.99 doesn't mean as much.

With such a push to make things balanced, you are freely admitting that playerswho did get to farm out perfect pearls get to keep their advantage over everyone else. Hmm....just how do the powers that be define "balance"?

I am a pre-cu jedi - I spent hundreds of hours grinding solo to reach a full jedi template. Then the CU came along, and anybody who was Jedi initiate or higher could exploit the respec system to get a full template jedi for very little work. On my server at least, 99% of the post-CU jedi are these exploit respec-jedi. You post-cu jedi are complaining that you don't have the best pearls to compete- I say TOO BAD. The only reward I have from my long hours of grinding is a decent sabre. You respeced your way to full template, and now do a third less damage than people who invested the time. Deal with it.

Sorry if we all have lives and other priorities other than playing a nerfed beta game.. I've been playing SWG since launch, and I gradually made my Jedi. My priorities in life was definantly not swg and getting Jedi, loser.. This topic can be argued all day, but it's pompous a@@holes like you that got nothing going in their life other than agravating other players that make this game sour. In your time, we had extremely few BH around- I know, I was one of em'. Very few were willing togive up virtually all the skill points for one profession..Currently, BH can have virtually best armor, best weapon, foods, and first attack. Jedi nowhave to deal with saber that chews up their force pool.. So please, try getting a girlfriend or a porno video and let loose some of that frustration..

Take your pre-cu argument somewhere else, it holds no weight with me. Almost 18 months getting my jedi (unlocked pre-cu) and getting him to full template but I should suffer because I didn't unlock in 8 holos?

I have had my share of sticks in the ass my friend, I don't need any more. While I was grinding my arse off on profs before pub 10 (22 finished), they were raising the number of silent holos you had to do and I ended up having to grind out half the village.

It's kinda funny just watching this game slowly swirl down the toilet. What's even funnier....the devs don't seem to care one bit. I could go on but what's the point? It's not like they listen to their customers anyway.
