Just like to remind us pre cu jedi about the "krayt boom" fiasco, And how we cried and cried about krayts and premiums and flawless untill SOE buckled down and gave us the "krayt boom".

I do remember waiting two hours just to kill one with 20 people and the hopes that this one dropped one (about 1 out of 20 did it)

So do the math on that one...

(you could not use your jedi to hunt there either or you would be dead and lose it all)

Ahh, the good ole days of waiting. I remember grinding while listening to guys on TS killin krayts. "Theres the sandstorm, think one will spawn now?" "Nope, keep killing mobs." "Brb, gonna log on my ranger".

After the boom, rangers became useless out there.

20 people was over kill in my opinion, that's not the point though.

Alot of us made our alts to handle krayts. We also had the option to hunt elders on dath.

2 hours of waiting for a krayt to spawn but at least you know it might drop a premium.

Premiums and Flawless have been out of the game for a while.

We complained and cried and threw fits about the pearls pre cu.

What did we do with the krayt boom? we camped the hell out of the graveyards, pearls we're flooding the market. we had lots of jedi running around with sabers that had over 500 damage. premies and flawless pearls we're rare

Then they took it away and we cried and cried like a bunch of spoiled children.

Us older jedi complain about newer jedi crying but some of us older jedi are worse.

once again, some of us older jedi need to get the lightsaber out of our a**.

Remember that one fool that brought like 10 freaking ATSTs behind him in the bug you could pull like 10 or so from your data pad at once lol.

zero somthing I dont remember... It's funny though.

(And for the guy that said it was overkill??? Dude maybe for you... we had to use Grauls and all kinds of crap to tank for us...).. not sure we are thinking about the same time frame man.

It was hard as crap to take them down...

I'm talking about the 'krayt boom' it happened not to long ago from what my head remebers. maybe a few months before the CU.

It was in the patch notes for a publish, as the 'krayt boom' or something like that.

I think partly mistaken.

The "krayt boom" was not for Jedi, it was for the player base to enjoy the one mob that spawned rarely. Remember during that time the devs were trying to keep Veterans intrested in the game. At that time I myself had never even seen an Ancient and rarely did I see a Giant. That goes for all Elite mobs like high end Tuskens and Gorax. The "boom" was put in place to give us ALL something to do. However it backfired, not because non-Jedi were looting Tissue like crazy, nope it was because Jedi started loading up their sabers.

Now I'd say almost right after this "boom" they nerfed drops on pearls. They refused to even acknowledge the issue for weeks. Then they came out and said a fix would be coming soon. Looking at the patch notes for that fix,do you think it was just by chance that they REMOVED quality from dropping on pearls AND made only Giants drop prem while only Ancients drop Flawless. Obviously it wasn't a bug when pearls stopped dropping off Krayts, this attempt to change the loot tables proves that it was people farming the easy Canyon/Juves that drove Devs to nerf it.

After the patch hit, guess what.....still nothing was dropping. Another hotfix, still NOTHING. Finally after so many complaints (after all not even GOOD pearls were dropping, nothing was dropping) the devs just revered it back to the old loot tables: Juves - Quality Canyon/Giants-Prem Ancient - Flawless

But it didn't last too long because the CURB was right around the corner (literally a month away). So everytime people start spewing this non-sense that Pearls have been available like candy is full of crap. It was a brief time until the devs wised up. Before that it was HELL to even get a crystal or pearl. I hope none of you new Jedi have to go through what most of the older Jedi had to inorder to get useable saber....that is dealing with hordes of ninja looters from your group or kill stealers from an opposing group. I'm not saying it's completely fair you don't get a chance to loot the highend stuff it's just not as peachy as most think it was when we put our sabers together.
