im new to jedi (been bout a week now) and i dunno how common this is but its a nice tune for a premium

Congrats.
Sadly, they're rare. I've tuned maybe 30 premium crystals (all off elders), and have had two turn out with +50/-9.

I just tuned a brand spanking new "good" pearl to 114 -2. I know the force cost blows, and having a saber with all pearls like this means I can't sustain a protracted fight. But maybe it means with some tactics and picking my moments, and can put out enough damage win a shorter fight where I simply beat the guy down with damage output: wait for his health to get about 60%, break his armor, knock him down, spam my heavy damage hits, and hope he's dead fast.
Just thought I'd post to let folks know that tunes this high do occur. For the record, I was not naked, nor kneeling at a shrine, nor had an empty inventory, or any of that crap. I tuned it as soon as it hit my inventory standing over the still warm dead body of the krayt which gave it up.
I've spent probably close to 15M in buying pearls and crystals, had a couple from pre-CU, and looted several of my own. All told, about 40 pearls and crystals of various qualities below premium I have tuned. I have a saber that's tuned 90% for efficiency and is now:
638 Damage, 27 Force cost, and feature an 89, 91, 94, and now the 114. With the Sunrider crystal I'm using, I can deliver some meaningful hits. I realize how far from perfect it is, but maybe there is room to think that post CU jedi can be at least a viable class.

I hear ya.
I have slightly higher damage then you, but higher force cost. I have a 99, a 100, a 106, and a 108 for a 30FC. If the force cost was lower I would be happier, but I know of lots of friends that have it much worse off. All post CU. Killed about 200 krayts for 50 pearls or so.

I've tuned only about... 25 pearls in my jedi life (many many more crystals, But I wont count those) My best tune from a pearl was 119 -7 (all pearls were GOOD quality) My saber is 636 dmg 20FC. I think i've just gotten really lucky with pearl tunes.
