Thread: EU fans a question re: Blue Glowie

The Dark Side dead usually come back as Spirits, or Ghosts...Then again, to be Blue Glowie we don't have to be dead... so...You know what would be cool? If the the BlueGlowie ability was a type of Rez... but you stayed BlueGlowie and couldn't interact with anything for 10 minutes, then you would turn back into solid form... useable every hour.
good idea. I was disappointed to hear Tiggs state it was a purely cosmetic effect, there are quite a few options and this is certainly one i'd be happy to have.

Please correct me if I've been misinformed about this, but a friend who has read quite a lot of the EU seems to view 'Blue Glowie' as light-side only, whereas dark force users tend to burst into blue flame upon death. Any discussion about the differences between SWG and SW canon is a bit moot (has been for a while now) but I thought this might be an interesting discussion.
lol.. Well.. Technically in this timeline (EP IV)according to cannon, there are only three Jedi that have managed this feat. Qui-Gon, Yoda, and Obi-Wan.
Oui-Gon actually discovers the lost Jedi Skill, he was a Master of the Living Force after all
and after his death he shares it with Yoda by visiting him in "Glowy" form. Yoda, then shares the secret with Obi-Wan at the end of Ep III. This is what Yoda is disscussing with Obi about in one of the last sceens of the movie about seeing Qui-Gon again. He tasks Obi with learning the way to achive "Glowyness" while watching over Luke on Tatooine while he's in hiding. Then of course Obi chooses to transcend in the final battle with Darth when they are having it out on the Death Star. Vader nor Sideous know nothing of this power, hence why Vader looks a little confused when he kills Obi and thers no coprse...
So that's cannon... but well this is SOE.. so anything is possible...

I thought Exar Kun came back as a "blue glowy" spirit form when talking to Kyp and everyone in the Jedi Temple in the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
Exar Kun came back as a shadow, he never died he just put his spirit inside the great massasi temple when they tried to kill him. He used the massasi slaves life force which killed them all (The Great Massasi extinction) and was able to leave his psyical body so the republic couldnt find him or kill him.
I see you also read the episode 3 book
