That wasn't my point Kraken. The FRS could come out simultaneously with TOOW in the way the CU came out with Wookie World. It should be accessible to all, and for free.
Point is I really think they are out of touch with reality.
Funny that in WoW, which they copy selectively in SWG, things make SENSE.
You want PvP? You want it to MATTER? With rank and items that are special? DONE.
I can't even buy a key chain with the 10 billion Imperial Prestige I racked up in JTL or a decent weapon with my 10 zillion Imperial faction on the ground.
But wait, I can trade my saber in for a Lava Lamp?
Stupid collection quests off of hard to find mobs? check!
Adding PvP/GCW that means something? ooh much too hard... heres an Obi Wan glowy and a shiny saber....

pwnedSWG is a cash cow and a dead horse at the same time. Invest only as much needed to let the cashcow do its job. Everyone who thinks they really care about what the players really want is a fool. They just listen as much is needed to keep the majority busy ingame. Only thing that counts is money and that they seem to make enough with SWG (otherwise they would be more careful - or more realisic - shut it down). Its only purpose its to fill someone pocket.

Recently I had a very heated discussion with a Dev about the game. His response to my PM to him basically said if people are still playing the game it must be good.
That's pretty much when I decided SOE is really in its own world.
Well, the thing is it doesn't have that much to do with Physics. In physics you can generally come up with a formula that accurately describes your world, in an MMO that is not the case. This is more about Psychology, trying to guess what people really want, and people have very different opinions on what is good.
I for example wouldn't mind seing a new FRS and a better GCW, but at the same time I thought RotW had a lot of good quests, and I know there are many more who liked it, so it's no drawback to me that they implement that too.
