Hey all, here is a simple tought and i could be COMPLETLY wrong.. but it seems to me that most of the ideas.. and quest lines seems to be only for fighters/marksman IE: we killed dark jedi masters and get holocrons ...

now all the power to that u deserve it .. but it wouldnt seem fair to me if every class didnt havea shot at it . i am a weaponsmith .i dont really fight.. i have 2 shops.. i suply weapons.. and make a wealthy livin... but i would like to know or at least be reassured that even for a char with no fighting abilities.. its still possible to be a jedi

any thoughts?

That's what makes me think it is more quest-based, dependant perhaps on your starting profession.

Only that the devs said that the ability to unlock the FS slot is different for every character.

Remember that all this talk about holocrons being the key to unlocking the FS slot, and really every other idea mentioned, is just people guessing. No one has of yet, at least to my knowledge, unlocked the slot. So no one "knows" how to unlock it. I'm sure the devs have a way for all classes to unlock the fs slot, and not just fighter classes.

I'm sure you have the ability to open the FS slot. I don't think it has anything to do with fighting or fighting to gain items that would be too straight forward.

In all fact, we have no clue what the requirements are for unlocking the FS slot, or what anyone has too do. I can only imagen that you're not going to unlock the FS slot by investigating the Jedi, because that is just too stright forward, to obvious. The developers are throwing us all this Jedi stuff to keep us from seeing the true key to unlocking the FS slot, what that key is, I don't know, no one knows.

But to answer your question, yes you most likely have the ability to unlock the FS slot without having to raise a weapon. The path is different for everyone. So you have to ask you self, do you want to take the blue pill or the red pill?

Well........I am an artisan and i justfound three empty resource containers that only say things such as "mineral" or "chemical" not that im saying that these have anything to do with the FS slot its more than likey just a glitch....but you never know (well im hoping at least heh)

Back in my day, we used to grind jedi in 10 ft of snow and with -10 skill tapes. And we liked it. We loved it. -DarthTeufel

I had 15 Halocron shards in betabut still no one was close to unlocking fs, Halocrons can only be fused by Fs not mr.joe so they don't do nothing unless you're Fs. So stop keeping them in your pocket screaming "133wt get M! H@loConr!"

I think he was being sarcastic and has the same attitude as you. Probably because I read posts all the way through.

Lol...I'm just reminding people of the days when the path to Jedi was unknown. Don't get me wrong, I am a jedi and I know that everyone that becomes a jedi works extremely hard to get there, but because of SOE's mistake of letting the road be known, the amount of jedi in the game has caused a perma-nerf to our once powerful and prestige class.

It's a sad day for Jedi across the galaxies.
