Thread: Does Force Sheild work against High lvl NPC Dark Jedi?
Was kinda funny though, he'd be doing piddly dmg to me with his saber, and my saber wouldn't even move his health bar, then he'd turn around and choke/lightning me and his health would go down by about an eighth lol, so i know for sure that feedback is working, just wondering on shield. I'll get a powers jedi to test with me see if force shield is broken period. Could be as there are very few powers jedi out and the skill is used so seldom that most would never even realize that it's broken
Also, i know it's another topic, but when will we start to see the Enhancer Force Resists start working? I mean, it's built into the game for NPC's already, don't think it would be too hard to port it over for these abilities.
Force absorb and forcefeedback are the only ones working against NPC force powers, this needs fixed
Can we look into getting this fixed then, because this seriously hinders my ability to take on these jedi. In my opinion, Dark jedi using powers should be an enhancers specialty. I also wouldn't mind seeing our resist moves fixed, but before that i would like to see sheild and absorb start to work against dark jedi.
On a side note, has anybody tested whether or not Drain Works against dark jedi to stop them from performing their moves? or does their force bar regen like mad too so it doesn't really matter?
I was asking myself the same question about Force Shield. I was fighting NSs and got chocked with and without FS. I am not able to report any difference as I noticed no difference. Anyway IFS lasts 30min or so, I turn it on anyway. In the while go with absorb and feedback!
Opith
forceshield does nothing but absorb is good tho,i tanked three elders thx to absorb i finish the fight almost equal in force then when i started
i dont have feedback so i couldnt tell u,gonna test tommorrow moening against a power player see if it works as good gonna edit this post when i have the result
I know when sheild did work, it did wonders against powers jedi. Sheild along with feedback and absorb and I took a lot less dmg, did ton's of dmg back to my opponent, and absorbed enough force so that force sheilds on going force cost was completely negated. Of course, when they would hit a breach that took them all out it hurt my force pool getting them all back up again, but it is a nice trio of skills to be able to use against Powers jedi(NPC and PC).
As i said, Powers jedi should be enhancers Speciality because Enhancers are in tune with the force around them moreso then any other jedi. They can absorb the very attack that seeks to injure them, and if the skills are working properly, enhancers should be the ones trying to tank Powers NPC's, where as Defenders should be the ones tanking every other mob.

I'm just wondering, I went up against the lvl 90 Dark Lord guy or whatever his name is, and with Force SHield, Force Absorb and Force Feedback on he was still hitting with lightning for over 1500. I'm not possitive, but i do believe that my force shield wasn't on at one point and he hit for the same amount each time.

When Bac tested this in TC during the ToOW and Pub 24 testing, he reported that Force Shield was NOT working against NPCs. However, that post was flooded with Master Defenders complaining about the AI nerf, and so it was basically overlooked. I asked whether Shieldwas working against other player Jedi, and he replied that he'd look into it, though I haven't heard a response yet.
For those of us who choose not to spend skill points in Defender, this is a big deal. Personally I think Shield can and should be one of the best skills in Enhancer, and we very much need to get this fixed as soon as possible.
