Thread: Defender What 2 branches pls??

I have enough skill points for 2 branches in defender.
Im working on a pvp template. Can anyone pls offer advice? What 2 branches and why.

If you plan on fighting against mostly melee opponents get 4040, if mainly ranged then get 0440.

4040 is what I would go for. 0040 is a must from defender and out ofxx-x I would prefer 4000 as you get melee defence and innate armour. I would rather get the melee as it is what you are mainly up against if you do PvE and when (or if) the FRS comes back you will be up against other jedi (presumably).
So in my opinion, 4040. Hope you enjoy your template.

anyone know how much innate armor u get for novice defender? and how much melee etc. im at work atm and cant check.

I would go 4040 for general purpose (PvE, JvJ) but if youre mainly going to be seeing lots of BH then go 0440 or 0044 depending on which you prefer.

novice = 10 innate, 25 melee/ranged, 20 force def, and 15 state
1000 and 2000= +20 melee, 2 innate
3000 and 4000 = +25 melee, 4 innate
and the same for the other trees

just thinking about picking up novice defender and 1 box with my spare points to get some more defences.
