Although i do not know how the visibility system would work, id really like to be able to get involved with a smuggling business, and have a bh come after me or somthing! you see, they want to keep it like the movies, so i think sense smugglers can have a huge mark on there head, like han solo did, why in the heck isnt it enabled in swg! that really ruins a bounty hunting experience, and it would maybe even get the bh's to lay off the jedi a little. maybe the way a smuggler would gain vis is to give them missions that they have to do, and maybe if they would get cought doing them, by npc's or random people, then it would give them some visibilty, smugglers dont really live up to there role, there rogue's, dangerious, and pretty much low. if they got cought doing somthing, how is that so bad? so they gain a little vis, not enough to get them on the terms..like someone could think a master dancer for jabba was all innocent, yet she is doing dirty deeds for him, secretly, assassinating people, and she would def have to keep it on the dl, because its not good to have a mark on your head. from my prospective anybody should be aloud to be put on the terms if they are getting in the illegal business's in swg, (valerian, nyms, jabba) lets get detailed here people, this game has been out for over 2 years now, lets start fixing this system.

I don't agree. The idea is that Jedi are significant to the Emperor. The Emperor is very concerned about the presence of Jedi in the galaxy. However, smugglers, and common criminals (no offense smugglers) are insignificant to the Emperor and they are handled by local law enforcment, not the highest echelons of the Empire.

That only covers the bounties that are placed by the EMPIRE. I dont know if you've ever looked at a BH terminal before, but the majority of the bounties are not placed by the empire, but are placed by some private individual or the bounty hunter's guild. That being the case, it would make perfect sense for those organizations to have bounties on smugglers(for reasons like Jabba did), though the Empire might only place bounties on Jedi, as they might not be concerned w/ small time criminals.

Bounties are not only placed on jedi.....most are common criminals. (i.e. ALL NPCs are non-jedi, terrorists, criminals, killers)

And not all Jedi bounties are "annoymous"

Lots are private citizens, that have a grudge against a specific jedi. ( Yeah i know the stories on the missions mean nothing, but for sake of arguement.)

Anycase, the player bounties on smugglers are being discussed, or atleast talked about.

TT1,

What I was pointing out, was not that player bounties on smugglers shouldnt be handed out, but rather, that the system by which a smuggler would get on the terms. I am thinking I like the whole mission idea in the "In Concept" where smugglers are concerned, as smugglers really dont generate "visibility" per say.

The only other profession that should be considered for inclusion on the terminals is bounty hunters themselves that fail too many missions. Why? They're already interested in PvP. The more classes you include in forced PvP, the larger the outcry against it will get, and the closer you get to the company removing bounties on players all together.

It's not like there aren't enough player bounties to go around already... all we hear is there are too many Jedi in the game.

Personally, as a bounty hunter, I would love to be hunted. Now, I am since retired from BH, to pursue my Jedi path, but my alt is definately going to be a BH.

I blatantly disagree... I think that Jedi (both dark and light) and Bounty Hunters should be getting visibility. And in all honesty given their own factions. Dark vs Light/ Dark vs BH / Light vs BH. I think they should be openly attackable on sight if wearing a bounty hunter tag or even declared mandolorian / dark / lightside Jedi. Removes Jedi and Bounty Hunter FOTM from wrecking the GCW, makes the other GCW professions more sought after and have good use.
