You forget that you also have a ranged attack with a melee weapon, not to mention that it KD's as well. So basically a pure melee/doc should never get close enough to hit you. It's tough to get by doc heals, but that's the case for everyone. You also get AI and a pretty decent saber block when combining Valor with MLS, something a melee/doc is missing. Go to MDef/MLS/Healer 3000/Enh 2000 and you also have a ranged root, something else a melee doc is missing. Jedi has plenty of tricks up their sleeve if you're willing to go beyond standing next to your opponent and just swinging away.

the differnce between a pike/tk/doc and a Mdef/Msabers is sabers still have a armor break and a powerhit, oh also if saber speeds wasnt broke youd be faster, also Tk/Pikes will have to dabble in swords to get their best offense

im still TKM and have half my defender and 1 row of LS and would have loved to go powers...all i need is a respec

My main character is master pike / TKM / Doc 4000.
1. Am I a tough SOB that can take just about any "Profession" down including Jedi? Yes.
2. Can I take every "Person" I fight down? Hell no.
I have gone up against plenty of jedi and let me tell you a master defender / master LS can spank my bottom in 1 minute flat if they know how to play there character. My suggestion to you is to get off your high horse and realize that grinding a single profession longer then anyone else has too, does not automatically entitle you to be better. You chose your path now figure out where that path has taken you. You have to use your head and know what your characters skills are and how to use them best. Sitting at your computer clicking a bunch of buttons watching all the nifty graphics is not going to cut it when your fighting another real life person.
Quit whining, your ruining it for the real jedi and future jedi to come, such as myself.

Is it me or a
Master Pikeman/Master TKA/Doctor 4/0/0/0
is as strong as a MLS/MDEF
Both have innate armore
Both have a defense buff
Both can heal
It has a melee Def of 215 and ranged of 165 using pikes
The pikes do more damage than the saber and they are faster
Makes you wonder how special we are
