Thread: Discussion on Force costs for Force Armor

Not too many weeks ago Force Armor was tweaked so thatit cost much less force per hit. Ive noticed that max damage weapons are now readily available and affordable to most people. Since Force Armor uses force based on the % of damage it mitigates, it might diserve a second look for some teaking.

Yesterday I was sparing against a MLS/MD template with my MLS/ME template. I know you cant stand toe to toe and expect to win against a MD template without some thought, but I was more interested in Force vs. Force. So we set off to find out how the bars stacked up. I was constantly draining force, causing him to heal at the rate of 1 to 2 for me, and kept the hits comming. When I could I would root him and fall back and drain force. When I hit 25% force I asked him his force usage. What came back knocked my jaw to the floor. He was sitting at 87%. Now taking into account he was using a single hand with 17fc and im using my dual with 23fc, do you think that my force should have been that low compared to his?

When I picked up ME I was going on the logic that ME was a Jedi vs. Jedi template since most of the ME skills only work in that situation. Force drain coupled with Force Armor should be able to balance out the force usage of the MD vs ME templates. But force drain was pretty much made useless when it got the nerf bat and only drains 100 force and only usable every 10 seconds.... nowhere near enough to counter the force loss due to armor costs.

Thoughts, Suggestions, Flames, Fames, or indescrimant banter welcome.
