According toImperial authorities,one of the galaxies top drug lordswas arrestedtoday andstromtroopers seizedover $70 million in credits, 40 pounds ofbooster blueand more than 592 kilos of giggledust. Officials said they also uncovered aSpice lab in Echo Canyon on Tatooine.

A SEA press release said thewookieewas taken into custody as part of OperationFurrBalland charged with conspiracy and with distribution ofBooster Blue and Giggledust. Five suspects remain at large, including one known as "Jaeger", who the SEA alleges "coordinated the receipt and distribution of drugs fromCoronet to Echo Canyon." The name of the wookiee is still undetermined after several attempts he refused to talk to the press. According to federal officials "Jaeger" also organized collections of proceeds from drug sales throughout the Dune Sea and how thecredits would be sent to Coronet.
OperationFurrBall focused on the financing behind thespice trade, said SEA Administrator TK-411.
"To decimate thespice trade, we are followingspicecredits back to its source, targeting the laundering networks, and eliminating profits that fuelspice gangs,"he said.
The allegedspice ring is believed responsible for moving more than 100 kilograms ofgiggledust each week and sometimes usedspeeders with false compartments to conceal drugs. In one instance, the SEA said, the group used adesert skiffhaulingnoobs from Eisley in an effort to evade detection as it transported a large quantity of credits.
