Thread: A few random thoughts on NGE and we jedi being hosed

So....reading now, banked Xp, will NOT convert, those currently playing in game will be able to respec to lvl 80 jedi(though thats up for debate), those of us who took time to full template wills till have to grind over 4 million more to get to the lvl 90. This sound about right?
Heres a couple thigns to keep in mind. YES, there will proly be a crap load of new jedi running atround (like there isnt already), however, unless theyve been out looting good pearls since CU...or are old enough they still have a few permiums or flawless still sitting around, all these new jedi wil be running around in Diapers. Theyre sabers will eb training and not much better then that. So....theyre at a huge disadvantage(again if all this holds true). So, unless theres a MASSIVE nerf of current sabers, threy hindered beyond belief.
AS far as grinding goes, if it stays the way it is, them tryying to grind the new xp will be ....SO slow.
So before we start thinking about how unfair it is that people will get to basically be where some of us have taken so long to get to, think about the other side for them, there will be ALOT of whining about how hard it is to grind jedi and such after thjis takes effect. Finally after 2 yrs and more in game and people not truly believing what a pain it is to do jedi, until theyve done it. More players might just appreciate what we "elders" have had ot go through.
That being said, we just might finally get the last laugh.

And you know this for certain?
And what Dev told you about pearls ("Premium pearl loots being addressed"-Tiggs) ?
Trust me bubba Noobs or nubs as you like to call them will find a way to get premiums.
Also don't forget a lot of these so called nubs/noob jedi have been playing and looting pearls probably since Day 1.

I think you're in denial. The goal of this revamp is to make it PlayStation compatable, eliminate any elite players and make 12 year olds happy.What makes you think we're going to be given anything useful in combat?So far it's all superficial stuff:titles, blue glowy, etc. Pearls will be nerfed to fit the new system.You will only be a cl80 soyou can't use a 4th gen saber unless you grind some more. Trust me. No one is going to have better stuff then anyone else. Especially the kids whoget the game for Xmas. By New Year, they will be at the same level as you, with the same stuff.

You haven't quite digested the worst of it yet:
We can only Respec to L80. However, it seems, you can only wield a 4th gen LS at L86.
Additionally - according to the information pasted, the powers you will get between Levels 80-90 aren't new, they are powers that you already had and will now have to regrind.

Jesus, what a joke. This means that respec jedi that have alot of free time (i.e. 12 yr olds) will actually be CL90 long before old guys like me. How funny.
