Thread: Hang on, any profession vet can use respec to become a CL80 Jedi?

Are you freaking kidding me?

Knowing this could be a difficult transition for many of our players, we have lined-up several options to help make this as easy as possible. First, you will be allowed to choose any one of the nine professions and transition to that profession at a level commensurate with your current level. For example, if you are maxed-out at level 80, you will transition over as a level 80 character into your profession of choice. Veterans (all players having started their characters before the enhancements are introduced) will receive nine review (“re-spec”) opportunities that allow them to sample the new professions before making a final decision. This gives everyone the opportunity to try out each of the new professions at least once at their current skill level. In the event you are unhappy with your choice of profession, you can “re-spec” and try out one of the others until you find the one you like best or until you are at your final opportunity.

If this is so, EVERY VET will respect to Jedi just like they did to BH during the CU respec!

Confrim Please!

Becuase unless you've been living on another planet for the last 20 years, a Jedi is the most facinating and exciting thing to be in Star Wars.

Good Question...

That makes me wonder...

If a person who is a CL 80 BH going to be able to be a CL80 Jedi instantly what will a Jedi with half his template done be respeced to?

But it's not. Not anymore. What they will do is respec to whatever profession involves the SL buffs.

this has to be the reasoning on which the developers are banking. if all professions are balanced and equal, why should everyone want to be a jedi? if jedi isn't "uber," then only people who want to play (perhaps even *role*play) as jedi would stick with the profession.

i'm not sure it will work. i expect to see a ton of jedi on 15 november. in the end, though, things might even out.

this is all somewhat ironic. one of the big problems of late has been a lack of diversity, i.e. too many jedi. the repsonse has been (1) to give all players immediate access to jedi toons; and (2) to limit the total number of template options by eliminating several professions and all cross-profession templates. and yet, in the unpredictable world of on-line gaming, it's possible that these two changes might *reduce* the jedi population. we shall see.

I see players who have grinded for months to have the ultimate profession, to be soon "normal profession".

I see players who have grinded for a day or two who will soon respec to Jedi.

And how come Jedi be normal profession. This change is supposed to be more Star Wars like. Jedi have higher skills.

If this change goes through, it will only make the whole Jedi community even more angry

Errr Respec ummm Jedi can't be blue glowy... like it really matters though. But, but, they did mention something about veteran Jedi being able to make a stronger saber with unique colors.. Oh and the almighty robe that will finally have resistances or something for vet Jedi also. See it just took them awhile to get the hidden resistances in the robes, but I suppose they won't be so hidden lol.

I read that that starting profession isn't Jedi but Force Sensitive and that players progress to Jedi through quests so I would have thought non Jedi can only /respect to Force sensitive.
