I know somebody that is 3 weeks away from being jedi, he has played jedi just as long as i have, just cannot get the same playing time in. Does he still get the chance to be jedi in 3 weeks when this thing hits or does he have to start all over?

He's got exactly 3 weeks to unlock his 1st Jedi box then becuase as tiggs has already confirmed, FS = 0 in the NGE.

Two things have been confirmed by Tiggs they are
1. FS has no credit towards jedi
2. the village has been turned off so you will not unlock before this goes live

he gets the same chance every other player has meaning any cl 80 will be able to respec to jedi whether or not they even had access to the village, this also means any gains you made in the village has been a complete waste of time as its being removed

Yes any cl 80 player can respec to a cl 80 FS character. It is not confirmed that you can even unlock jedi from the FS branch that will be in game. But if you respec to a jedi you will NOT receive any of the veteran jedi rewards.

BUT if he unlocks his jedi he gets a free character on the same server. I would think everyone who unlocks jedi gets to keep their alt. It might be wise to unlock ASAP to get your free character. Has anyone heard anything official on this?

any new jedi will not get an alt, it was on an FAQ i read. so if you want an alt on same server better unlock asap like they said

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but can you not unlock jedi CURRENTLY? Or are you just refering to post-NGE. I know people have had issues with becoming force sensative.
