It was. Tiggs posted that they wanted to make the drops quest based or very difficult mob drops. Julio Torres stated a bit earlier in another interview that it would be November before that was resolved.

She didn't say anything about changing the current sabers or premium pearls/crystals. She said that if they put the premiums in the game now at lower level mobs they would have to lower the power of all crystals/pearls to avoid massively boosting the power of all Jedi at once. Thats it. That has been twisted into some kind of vague nerf threat but I doubt it was anything other than explaining the nature of the drops.
1. Dev : lets put a premium pearl into a creature / quest on mustafar. we made jedi easy with respec, we gave them double xp, we didnt ban them while grinding AFK their full template... but they have crappy saber hehehehe. now they(29382932983 jedi) have to buy our new expansion. how is my idea 2. dev?

That's exactly the way I read it.
If the devs were to suddenly classify Pearls that dropped from Canyon/Giant/Ancient into Prem, then everyone who has untuned pearls that were looted from them would turn to prem. That means all the 'good' pearls would suddenly turn into prem pearls. Seeing how some Jedi have come in here and stated how they farmed them to where they had 80 pearls......I think the devs were listening lol.
That is what she meant when stating it would increase the power of Jedi globaly almost instantly.
Now do I believe her.....hmmmm hard to say. i think she is just repeating what the devs are saying but I serously find it hard to believe they can't find a way around it. They probably just think it's better to make a super Krayt, more efficent use of time. That way they can make the spawn as rare as they want lol.
What I don't still understand is if Pearls are Jedi's high end component, BH missions drop high end components for their weapons. Why is it that a CL 82 can drop super components yet a CL 82 Krayt drops poo components? I would feel better if the devs just said they made a mistake letting everyone unlock and now they are fixing it by limiting the power level. The only way to compete with non-Jedi these days is with a highpowered saber. Some might say they do great with a 500 damage saber, well obviously you haven't run into a decent PvP'er because you'll get owned quick.

Unlike what the other boards say the DEV have show they hate Jedi so dont count on it or that they will say anything good.
