So far, I have (post-cu) tuned 14 "good" pearls, 4 "good" crystals, and 8 "fair" crystals. In my saber, I am using 3 "fair" crystals, 56 -5, 59 -6, and 61 -3. I also have a 75 -6 "good" pearl in the ls. Now, how is it that the "worst" crystals all tuned the best? Everything else that is not in my saber, including 13 other pearls and 11 other crystals, tuned below 50 -5. Is tuning completely random, borked, or is there just no way to tell?

They tune randomly witha bonus to the tuing table based on quality.
So imagine the table is a 1 to 1000 chart. a Poorpearl would have a +0 to the roll, while a flawless pearl would have a +300 to the roll.

Exactly, but since the DEVs dont feell like adding them in. UNlesss its probably a quest or a lvl 300 Monster that will1 hit DB You. Then you will only get like .1/10 chance for a perfect tune off a GOOD Pearl.

Like most things in the game, leave it up to chance! So goodluck tuning in the future.
You can be like most superstitious jedi and tune while on 1 leg and only wearing a hat while directly under the moon on dathomir at exactly the first hour of the first month.

You can call it superstition if you want....I've tuned with full force/sitting/only in my robes...did it just last night and tuned a quality pearl over a hundred....worked for me...might sound stupid, but I'll waste a few seconds to put on my robes and sit down from now on.

True, but that's why many Jedi go out and farm loads and loads of lower quality crystals, then tune them en masse. It raises the chance of getting a good tune.
I agree that premium pearls need to get put back into the game tut suite, but untill they do we need to make the moast of it.
