Thread: How can you do the quests in this game without gaining visibility?

I'm at a loss. After you grind a templated Jedi, what else is there to do besides PvP and Quests? Both of which gain you visibility. And we have people who blame Jedi getting visible for the whole BH system. So what exactly is the solution here?

I mean really, whats the point of allowing a Jedi character in a game where you have no options but to leave him in a house or risk visibility to play the game's quests?

The trolls say, "put your Jedi away...there are too many..." which makes me laugh at those morons.

I'm waiting to hear what the devs say...at the moment, it seems like they are siding with the trolls, based upon the complete lack of feedback since the beta.

I'm not going to cancel yet...but I'm not buying TOOW just to be griefed while trying to knock out the quests.

QFE

There is no way to "play" your Jedi without getting vis, so those saying don't get vis can shut the hell up.

My jedi is my main, shes the character I have spent all this time working on and roleplaying with. I didn't go Jedi for the alt, I didn't want it, didn't even make it for three months until I was bored one day.

My solution to this mess is real simple.

Since NPCs are actually powerful now, you implement a system where an NPC or group of them hunt the Jedi, like it should always have been.

Eliminate the option to /duel someone outside of going Special Forces and you create a perfect environment where everyone is happy.

Up the mission payments for BH terminals that are fighting these harder NPC missions, I mean wow this really could end all Jedi/BH issues cause no one will be seen dueling it out in theed without the SF tef and players can actually get back to playing without punishment.

Bounty hunters get their higher paying missions, and we are all happy.

All happy except the bounty hunters who went bounty hunter for the specific purpose of making Jedi lose exp.

This is a very small group of players, most of whom have jedi alts with nothing better to do.

I can't see the logic in allowing Jedi to exist when you're always getting penalized for doing the quests in this game. My only time I play with my Jedi toon is when a friend needs help or I want to do a quest and both of these things bring visibility at some point.

The point of this game is to encourage grouping and quests and they advertise the ability to become a Jedi. But then we are told that you can't kill an NPC. The quests are mostly NPC kill missions, and groups inevitably need healing help and that exposes ya if there is an ungrouped player or NPC around.

Can they just take out the forced PvP already? I mean you can't get around visibility unless you stay in your house and then whats the point of advertising a Jedi?

They should have never made Jedi our mains if they intended for us not to be able to do any of the game content as a Jedi. You want to do any quests in the last two expansions? Park your character you've been playing since launch and use your alt! Utter BS.

I sure would like an answer from a qualified SOE official cause I doubt they can come up with anything logical.

The end-game for Jedi IS PvP, FRS (when it comes back), and Bounty Hunters. Its the way its always been and was meant to be since the first Jedi unlocked.

I play my full temp jedi for about an hour a day, quests and hunting, and I haven't seen a BH in weeks and weeks.

I suggest 0 vis until you get to full temp. After that point, do what you like as XP isn't needed anyway if you loe it.

Only FRS Jedi can be hunted by BH Thread

A thread that was started and has some good points, with better Risk vs Reward for Jedi in their current state.
