Thread: Jedi Will be rare....

I was just thinking about things. Jedi will now be rare for a few reasons. The biggest that come to mind are: It will no longer be an Alpha Class and you will no longer get a second character slot, though exsisting Jedi do keep theirs. Many people became Jedi to be uber or l337...taking that away will maybe lessen the appeal to some players. Why be a Jedi when you can be a Smuggler and just as strong? That may weigh on the minds of many players causing them to turn their heads towards Jedi. Also, Jedi itself is not a starting profession. But, everyone starts off at FS, you still have to quest your way to Jedi.
Seeing that Jedi no longer has any rewards, like another character slot, jedi will now be more rare, or atleast thats what I think.

It sounds like SOE is going for their final Horaah. Cash in on ToOW, they send out the starter kits, then make the newbs they got to buy it become Jedi, and say farewell to the game once and for all.

i totally agree many people r jedi because they want to be the best.

everyone wants to be a jedi, end of story. they could be the worst profession in the game, everyone would want to be one.

This new system will get rid of the people that were Jedi to be uber, but it will more than replace them with people that want to have a glowbat but didnt want to grind.

Why bea smugglerwhen you can be a jedi, sincethey're the same strength and take the same amount of time to get?

A jedi is the only melee profession, wich must make it hard in combat. A smuggler carries a blaster like any other profession.

not to mention that Han solo comes to mind, and he was always cooler than Luke and his bag of magic tricks

Nope.
Tiggs stated that melee options will be available in all the combat professions.

there will be tons of Jedi around.
they will be the least rare profession in the game.

doesent sound right to me, if i was 15 and UBER i would go jedi... so i think jedi gona be the most usual there is.

You have it completely backwards...why be anything else when you can be a Jedi?
