I just got off of work and I am looking over the forums, and I see that there is a new CU coming out. OK, thats great, I was expecting to find that a new FRS was to be reinstated, combat more balanced, etc. From what I am reading, first off I see that bounty hunters will no longer hunt jedi player characters. I don't like this, but there are some players out there who will love this. Personally, I like it when a bh comes, provides me with a challenge, but thats just me.

I got jediabout a monthbefore the original CU hit, and was kind of dissapointed with it, but adapted with the rest of the loyal player base and tried toforce ourselves to forget what it was like pre-cu. Through massive grinding, I was able to complete my final template and not have to worry about bh's because there were usually ways to get away from them if by chance I couldn't defeat them. Now, what I am reading is that through questing, jedi will be made availiable to players. Does this mean that grinding is not going to be necessary? If this is true, there are going to be many pissed off vetern jedi that spent hundreds of hours working on getting thier template's so that they were suited to thier playstyle.

Since I never was able to experience the original FRS, is it coming back in any way shape or form? I was always facinated when older players spoke of the FRS, and I wish I could have participated in it. When the CU hit, I was content on getting all my skills honed, finding the best componants for my lightsaber and clothing, etc. Is all this going to be for naught? I know that there are loads of jedi in the game that are in the same boat as I am. It will be very dissapointing to find out that what I have is now useless.

Another thing that I have read is that all the professions are going to be condensed into 9 different ones now. This is alarming to all of us because everyone wants to be unique, just like we are in real life, not drones that look different but have the same abilities. I am quite proud of my jedi, proud of the fact that he is not a double mastery and dabbles in 4 of the 5 jedi philosophies. It makes me feel like I have a firm grasp on my characters purpose in the game and also shows that dabblers can make it in the game quite well. Are all the professions going to be the same now? I think it is important for us to know.

I know that this post will probaly remain unanswered, but please, if you have the time, please reply bacibacca. You are our connection to what is happening, believe it or not. Why is everything so vauge at this time when it is due out in a couple of weeks. I would think that SOE would have more respect for its customers who have stuck with them through thick and thin and give them some much needed answers. The entire population would appreciate some feedback, not some round-about answer that leaves us where we started.
