What does this mean?

That all Jedi will be Master Powers / Master Lightsaber. So much for roleplaying, everyone will be the same.

What's happening to my Jedi character?

Jedi will be able to choose any of the nine iconic new professions, including the Jedi profession. Regardless of a veteran Jedi's (existing active Jedi characters prior to the introduction of the game enhancements) re-spec choice the character will gain items and abilities that will represent the original accomplishments achieved by that character. These include specifically, the ability to take on the transparent Blue form of an ascended Jedi, a special Robe that is endowed with protective properties, and an exclusive new lightsaber with a unique color that deals more damage. All of these new items are being given to existing Jedi characters in recognition for their past achievements.

For me, that part in blue means that lightsabers will now be normal weapons (a la Pre-Publish 9) instead of containers. And each Lightsaber will have its own color from crafting, so you cant alternate colors anymore. About the damage... meh wouldnt be suprised if that were a lie.. but oh well. Moving on:

Will crystals and pearls still be used in lightsabers?

Yes, you will still be able to use crystals and pearls to upgrade lightsabers.

At first I thought "Maybe she just got confused", but something tells me crystals and pearls will act now as power ups or wont have that important impact on the saber stats as it does now. But then I found this:

Is lightsaber crafting changing?
Yes, The crystal components of lightsaber crafting have been removed.

Err, excuse me? I thought crystals and pearls would still be used in lightsabers? Although she reffered to the crystal packs.... wich are not important at all anyway.

1. Have the stats on crystals/pearls changed
   Yes, they have been adapted to function with the new combat system.
   


2. Is crystal/pearl tuning changing?
   No, however the stats on the crystals have changed.
   

At first I though this was the best part of the Q&A, until I got to the second question. Great, not even because Jedi has been dumbed down and now is a starting profession, we can't get decent tunes?! Come on...

Oh and a very useful part so we can understand what path is the game taking:

How are weapons changing in the new system (stats, relevant usage, etc.)?
Weapons now have two stats – damage and range. Some select weapons have an elemental damage value added.

So not only did they make it so range didnt matter post CU (Remeber how a rifleman had to sty 60m and up from its target to actually be effective?) Now they are removing SAC and other stuff like speed, wound and bonuses.... Im not sure what to make on this. Only good news is that ***HOPEFULLY*** sabers wont drain force. If there's even a force bar.
