Thread: Jedi will NOT be a starting profession
Will I still have to go to the Force Sensitive Village to be Force Sensitive?
No. Being a Jedi character will no longer require you to complete the Force Sensitive Village series of quests. There will be quests and adventures created specifically for the Jedi path that you will need to pursue in order to progress on the Jedi path.
This was taken from the FAQ located here. New player won't be able to jump right into being a jedi I assure you.

This should help people figue things out. This is what i was saying
And Force Sensitive is a class.
And you can't drop a class and regrind/change template.
So, yeah - Force Sensitive is a starter profession. Which leads to the Jedi path. Essentially, it's a starter profession.

Well Force sensative isn't really Jedi.
Well, if it's a perma-class, why the hwell would anyone take it unless going Jedi?
Here's the question... will you need quests to progress as a jedi or to get be unlock one ?

Sorry bud, but yes, jedi is a starting profession...
Like the poster above said, force sensitve is a class, just like every other MMO, once you pick your class that's that, grind up to the top and you're done.
Can anyone become a Jedi?
Yes, anyone can follow the path of the Jedi but like all professions mastery will require time and experience. The new Jedi profession will be equal in combat effectiveness with the other professions.
Second:
What are these new "iconic professions"?
The new character advancement paths are based on professions of 9 legendary Star Wars heroes:
Bounty Hunter (Based on Boba Fett)
Commando (Based on Commander Cody)
Jedi (Based on Luke Skywalker)
Medic (Based on 2-1B)
Smuggler (Based on Han Solo)
Officer (Based on Princess Leia)
Spy (Based on Princess Leia as the Bounty Hunter Boussh)
Entertainer (Based on Oola)
Trader (Based on Lando Calrissian)
Third:
What if I have a fully developed character?
All current players will be given the chance to sample all the new professions before choosing one. Each veteran player (existing characters active in-game prior to the introduction of the enhancements) will receive a "re-spec" (change or revise a character's basic skills and abilities) token with ten uses/charges to provide the opportunity to try any and all of the professions once before making your final choice.
Did you just read this you **edit**ing **edit** 9 professions...and in the thrid comment it says you can RESPEC and try ANY of the NEW 9 professions are you that F*!!U*!!C*!!K*ing dumb?

yea it is, but you still have to progess to be full blown Jedi. Its not like "Bam" jedi. I think there trying to amke you work for it.
Well, that goes without saying.
It's also not like "Bam" Bounty Hunter, or "Bam" crafter. Otherwise why would you play the game.
But those are starting professions, basically. You start up as a "Novice" and work your way up.
Current method ofgetting to FS to START your way to Jedi= at least awhile playing the game to get badges and a couple professions.
New method = Start at Force Sensitive. Work toward Jedi.
Jedi is a starter profession.
