After continual testing of the jedi skill today I can say I was not impressed at all.
If you are getting jedi thinking about PvP it is the wrong profession to be in for that reason.
- Fact 8 out of ten times you will get owned by ranged professions now (they are king)
- Kiteing is a big factor in fighting jedi now (cannot loc on to target with tab anymore)
- The person has to be in the range of 0-5m in order to perform LS specials on them
- Saber throw is minimum damg special
- Force run is pretty much worthless (runs like a person with half a lung with TB).
- Block is on a 10-15 second timer blocked 2 to 3 shots everytime before being incapted by ranged profession.
- Snares jedi specials don't work at all (from what I tried)
- and the healing is not better than stim heals (thanks Bree for showing me that today).
- Pretty much jedi is a jedi vs jedi profession now or a PvE type role
I do not beleive everyone will be jedi in this game (most didn't even know how to craft a saber) as when they find out how gimped we are they will find one of the functional careers in game like smuggler, commando or BH (spy is gimped to right now).
Oh yeah, both my crystals SRD and bane's heart tuned to crap damage so there is no need to buy them for millions of creds (a waste).
Also AA and CA still seem to work but really can't prove it as I have no combat log anymore.

I'll be keeping my main as a jedi, simply because I aint dropping it after the time spent getting it, My jedi alt will not be going jedi, my 2nd accoutn i may be tempted to try Jedi under the NGE from scratch to see if it is worth it.

In PVP moving around alot will make the Ranged Gods very ineffective.
