Actualy, Vader is wearing a suit/armor/life support system. Someone could obviously make a replica of what he's wearing(like we see in RL) that isnt tied into the persons breathing, so in the SW universe some tailer/armorsmith could do the same thing. Of course thats not going to be allowed though because it would be stupid to see half of the Jedi running around looking like DV.
